If you are required you have a bar, you are required to have a harness right (driver restraint system)? Pretty sure if it is required, the shoulder straps have to be mounted between level and 4 inches below your shoulders. If that going to work with that back bar?

Hope where you race is lax with rules. The rear bars are questionable being on that rear hoop. (section 20, pg19) "roll bar must be adequately supported or cross braced to prevent FORWARD or lateral collapse" being on that rear hoop will push front/rear if the hoop bends. And the Cross bar looks like it will not pass either. "cross bar must be installed no more then 4" below, and not above, the drivers shoulders or to side bar". Looks nice though!

The rear supports, if you want to keep them in the same area of the window, should just have outward bends put in them to get them to where that rear hoop mounts to the frame. Can't have that rear hoop as Russ said. But from looking at that picture also, where does the rear support mount to the hoop? It looks like it goes under the hoop from that angle?

Lexan went in yesterday, tint today, welding door bars Monday and hope to pick it up Tuesday! Ordered a set of the half rubber isolators that Simon posted a link to in his bar thread

I dont believe so Jerry. I believe anything slower than 10.0 you can use factory seats. I know Ken has gone 10s on stock seat/stock seat belt. Now if you use a aftermarket seat, you are required to have that secured to the bar and SFI restraints.

You need belts and a bar for anything faster than 11.50

Not according to the tech's I talked to last night at the track, but who really knows if they know the rule book.

I know if they know the rule book or not. That answer is a big fat no.

10:5 DRIVER RESTRAINT SYSTEMS
A quick-release, 3-inch driver restraint system, with a 2-inch crotch strap, meeting SFI Spec 16.1 is mandatory in all cars in competition required by the rules to have a roll bar or a roll cage.

And Ken has a harness in his truck.

Definitely have to have a SFI harness, It takes some custom brackets, but they can be mounted to stock seat brackets just fine. We did the day before we went to DPC.

Don't forget the fire extinguisher;)

Thank you for that. I will be going to the track next Saturday to not race but want to tech in for a pass/fail. If it fails the bar builder will know
