Why do I keep doing this?

when you talk about timing you guys need to include RPM.

True. My peak power was moved down the scale about 500rpm to under 3000, IIRC.

If I were to do it all over again, Id have done a compression test at the end of 2008, too. That way Id have known for sure when it happened. Ah well, such is life.

I was wondering if the guys that are bending rods running lots of timing are at lower elevation like at 2000ft or below. Seams like some poeple that are up high 5000'+ can get away with it a little easier? I remember hearing a while back that 20+ degrees of timing before 2600rpm was bad and should be closer to around 15 (this guy had a cylinder pressure moniter). I'm a offender and I'm at 23 by 2300rpm and close to 30degrees by 3250 wich is not much. But I only run 3000pw but its at roughly 170mpa. I ask for 175mpa but only hold around 168-170mpa. This is a LB7

I'm sure a lot of other variables and mods come into play

Like askin for 100mm3 at 1200rpm and actualy letting the rest of the tables give it to you and trying to keep the fuel rattle away with the maf limiter not great for the motor but can be fun for ruining some tires :D. Never had the experiance of actualy having some big boost but I'm sure that will make matters worse in a hurry.

i'm having trouble grasping why duel fuelers bend rods, and why I havent yet :dontknow: or have I
Dual fuelers dont bend rods , greedy tunning does !

To say X amount of timming will bend a rod is silly , to know the propper timming for any truck you need to know RPM , Pulse Width MS , and Fuel Pressure and even account for boost , or NOS . Any one who is figuring timming without knowing these #'s is an idiot ( not refering to you ) , its a mathmatical equation and needs to be figured as such , I use JoshH's timming excel sheet , works perfect .
