Last week I saw a topic on the limits of stock rods. Anyone have the link to it? I can't find it now.

Someone suggested I run a s475, and was wondering if anyone had any feedback on these turbos. The plans for my truck are 800hp street truck but I want to break 600 this year. Is the 475 too much for stock rods. I also still want to be able to pull my boat. Been thinking about the 366 because of all the good things I have been hearing about them. Is the 366 capable of 800hp? Any input would be nice.

I have duramaxtuner now but I will probably go to fleece to have new tunes made. He should be able to do as you said, he's pretty good. Is the 475 tow friendly?

An engine build in the next couple years is in the works. I just don't want to throw a rod in the meantime.

then at or under 500hp. above that all bets are off. even if you have the perfect tune, your at the mercy of the rods. if one just happens to be on the weak side, your SOL

I'm pushing 528 now. Its been running fine with that. I really don't want to push too much on them they do have 220,000 on them. I just expected the rods to hold up to at least 600.

It is a feature built into the 03+ trucks, 01-02 you have to do a little work to get it. I don't think I would tow on a big charger without a way to command 4th gear.

I bent my rod with a single 75mm in less than 2 weeks at 3000us on stock injectors. Every engine is different

If you want the engine to live or at least give it the best oppurtunity you need a large single, loose converter 2500rpm+, and detorqued tuning. A lower mileage engine makes a big difference as well. Don't take a 225k engine throw a 75 on it and expect it to last. Hell maybe im just lucky or maybe not
