I need one of these. My 1058 doesn't couple worth a shit. You punch from a roll and it doesn't even break the tires loose, truck just revs and soon as that bitch locks she gone lol. Seriously though once it locks the truck literally feels like it gains twice the power

The 1058 is the worst converter I have ever ran. All of my customers love the 1078. Just seems to be a all around converter. We wanna put one in my buddies lml.

Try running a precision ML in a 8700 lb truck. You floor it and it might as well be in neutral. I run two haul 90% of the time just so it's not at 2500+ rpm all the time.

I had an older Precision ML. It was a good converter. Had some of my best 60' times with it. It is my second favorite converter I've had to the limitless

I blow through mine a good bit and it unlocks easy on the large tunes when you stab it. My 1057 never did that but it was a harsh locking ****er, I could do some pretty crazy burnouts with it.

I wish the 78 was out when I had my trans built. Maybe I'll have to have you swap them out for me someday. Your not too far from me

Evan did my transmission yesterday. Didn't disappoint :) I haven't got too crazy with it yet but huge difference from stock all around. My drive was 200 miles highway and the difference at 80+mph is night and day, lockup is firm and fast. I don't have experience with other options to compare with but I'm very happy with the trans and Evans work/service. I'm proud to have Evans build and also the 1078. I've got the twin skids getting loaded up next weekend and will let anyone who's curious know how she handles 14/15k in tow.

Same here. I highly recommend getting Ben's box and hitting the blue auto arm button at every startup. It's saved me a ton of money because I can live with my converter now instead of wanting to get angry at my money and rip it out for a 1078. When it's time to refresh however, I'll hit up Evan!

Towed my first 10k yesterday on Evans trans and 1078. Holy shit. Just kept pulling and pulling. Didn't know I could have that much fun with a load in tow. Very impressed.

I can't get my 1053 to lock up at part throttle without jarring the teeth out of my head. Light throttle ok, 1/4 throttle see dentist, half/full throttle like butter. To much slip in converter drive I think, bens box didn't do a thing for it as it only comes on at wot. It does make it lock in second though before it would hit lock up at about 95 mph in the qtr. I alos think Simon and Ted may have ground the lock up spool completely off:rofl: as this was abby's race trans.

I'll throw Evans converter in when I freshen the trans up.

Boy am I yet another fan of Evans 1078 :woott: I'm running it in my stock fuel LB7 with the stock charger (for now got big brother to go on top soon) at ~4000ft elevation. One thing I have to say is anyone running a LB7 with the stock turbo still in the valley don't be afraid to run this converter. It flashes really well ~2200-2300rpm, and couples very smooth and hard after the flash point (my tires hate me) rolling around 30mph without it locked you roll into the throttle and it starts coupling and puts the power to the pavement and puts you back in the seat. Lock up is not harsh and won't rattle your teeth. It locks very well compared to the 1056,1058,1055. I have about 60 miles on it now and I can only see it getting better as the trans continues to learn. Thank you Evan for all your help and designing a great converter :D

How much higher is the stall compared to a Precision ML? Think I may swap mine out. Got a turbo on my mind again and the trucks gonna be parked so I'm ready to start putting some goodies on it.
