So far, I have not missed a 2nd gear lock up. Maybe I'm lucky idk, but I have no need for a lockup box at this time.

Brock - that's what I had with the 777 converter. George agreed and swapped in the precision. The 777 was super tight and didn't blow through, but the lockup was awful and taking off from a stop was way too tight too.

Wolf - my vert won't lock on its own until almost redline in 3rd, even with the slip table maxed out in the tcm tune. With the box it's 2nd gear every time. It's a bandaid solution but it works.

I'm pretty sure it has everything to do with the 1053 being really loose and the lock up spool I'm sure is ground heavily. I have learned to live with it, no big deal but the more I read on Evan's converter the more I want to try one out. Guess Evan will be sending me some more clutches and a converter soon:thumb:

Very happy with my converter from evan and trans kit(i built myself). Ive got about 2000 miles on it now with towing both at sea level and up to 5500ft and running around empty. I love how when it locks it is solid almost like another shift. Going to put some power back in the truck shortly and im sure it will still be great.

My little brother has a goerend converter in his truck with a built trans and i would take mine over it anyday.

Have another lbz in the shop right now midway through rebuild with another one of evans kits and tc going into it also.

This seems like what I'm looking for. Would it be alright in a stock turbo application until I do a stage 2r?
