If the front is lifting, you need less rebound/better shock in front. Clamp front and back of the spring, Mine hopped until I did. 38 front 35 rear with the M&H's is what worked best for me. Less in the front and you will see cuping in the tire. Less then 35 rear, and the truck transfered too much weight to the rear, and the front would spin! Figure the rest out on your own:thumb::D

Alstons in Sacramento sells Varishock single adj. for $187, dual adj. for $299.

Less rebound ? meaning a stiffer rebound valving ?

On my MT i run 18-20 rear and 26-28 front . I have never had a problem with the rear hoping with the caltracs , they have enough "rise"/"antisquat" that even with a soft spring the truck never hops or squats , seem like that stiff or a rear end would/ is what was making it so you couldnt run less air pressure in the tires ?

Yes, in my head I was thinking stiffer valving. I was thinking of the mechanical side of the actual valve/port;). Tried without clamps, and the rear felt like it was going to shake out of the truck with the DR's. Clamped both sides and she wouldn't even chirp the tires.

Has anyone used the single adjustable version?

Thats what I run.

Paint, I look at it this way. When you start getting into low-12 sec times, you must address your suspension in some way. Spring clamps and Bilsteins werent cutting it for me. I first tried the snubber, and it didnt work like i wanted, so I went to the caltracs to address the axle wrap. But I still had to address the excessive front end lift, so thats what the QA1s were for.

My 60s went from 1.75s to 1.68s on street tires. Thats with going from bilstien fronts, to double adjustable qa1s. My street tires were some 33x12.50 herculies on chrome h2 wheels, the tires were about half shot. So the qa1s were a good improvement i think. Well worth the money.

There is a thread in the drag racing section over on CompD for suspension set up to race a 4x4. Some of those dodge guys have some interesting ideas, they think the weight transfer is the way to go. Tried to talk a bit of sense into them but decided to give up. Hope they continue to think that way.:thumb:

Just my opinion,

Quick, minimal front rise (1-2"max), with slow settle time.

Rear BODY squat (soft shocks), with axle wrap controlled/eliminated.
