pump or hd tie rods

i was wondering, what should i do first, im torn. a ppe lift pump, or cognito hd tie rods. i don't race a lot, just like to be fast. im going to have both, but im only buying one right now.

i was thinking the tie rods for racing so i could do boosted 4wd launches, but that wouldn't do anything for me everyday driving. but the pump would benifit me at the track, and everyday.

i guess im just looking for your opinions or experience on what either did for you

Sleeves are cheap. I ahve a spare set in the shop of superdiesels if you are interested.

but isn't part of the problem the actual ball joints too? my friend broke his stock ball joint and bent the crap out of the shaft.

The problem mainly is the rod....Center link braces are a good idea too. Most everyone is running sleeves and braces/center link and doing boosted launches with 500hp+ tunes and are getting by just fine, I am.

well yea, 14.1 is only bout 400hp isnt it?? :hug:

If you dont race that much do the lift pump, keep starvin it for fuel and you will be stranded when the cp3 takes a crap.
IMO i would just but both.

ok, if i just need sleeves, i can do both now then:)! sweet! im excited. time to get to ordering... well, by the end of the week. going on a 2 day boat for some yellowtail and dorado!!!! fish counts are off the charts right now.

haha, what about that one time at a track when the tie rod snap? Then he's screwed. The cp3 will be golden for long time, especially with low hp tuning.

I still stand with sleeves then lift pump. If you run a tune big enough for a lift pump, and you are launching in 4x4, the you will need sleeves very very soon ;)

OMG i miss fishing for dorado. We fished 15 miles west of san diego and a few miles south of there. First time i did it we were doing a little trolling, I was amazed how fast we were moving lol. 3 days on a boat on the ocean is some serious fun....

i would be so bummed and feel like a fool if that happend to me at the track! wouldn't want to give the ford guys something to laugh at:mad:

a while ago i saw a video on youtube of a chevy doing a sled pull and he DESTROYED his front end by breaking the rods. fender , bumper, axles... all not things i want to have to replace.
