Certainly no expert, but some things:

H2 take offs are like 315 BFG's. Really nice footprint.

Like above, weight forward as possible under the rules, as low as possible, and hitch as far forward as possible, and as high as possible.

Silly things, move seats up as far as you can. Fold down rear seats. Make sure all fluids are full including windshield wipers.

Obviously show up with more weight, then remove. All scales are different. I use sand bags up against the cab lengthwise.

I move the factory rubber stop downward on adjustable bolts to get the legal suspension travel. Hard stops can induce bouncing sometimes.

There is also a right amount of wheel-spin on a loose track. Too much is bad as you need to climb up out of your rut, too little is bad because you're not using as much HP as you can.

I will definatley set up my truck differently now. Thanks for the input . Last year when i was looking at tires i had them narrowed down to the dura tracs and the bfg a/t but i went with the bfg a/t cause they were way cheaper

I pulled workstock here once during the fall with no weights, or blocks I did use traction bars and I clamped the front of the leaf springs and I hooked fine. and you will have to overlook the minor delay at about the 50ft mark I put on a new fuel filter and I think I had a little air in the fuel lines

the rules are real battle because its more just a local class not an actual sanctioned class, so there is a base set of rules but they have a really hard time teching the trucks, and some people get away with some dumb s***. we tried to get a work stock class but no luck, so unless we spend a lot of money on all the safety stuff, we outta luck. :(

So if i run low pressure in the mud tires they will grip to much?

It really depends on the track. Some of the tracks back home have very little clay in them and have poor grooming. In some cases mud tires are a must. What do other trucks run that pull against you?

seems to be alot of bfg at's. i was thinkin when i start to get a bit more serious get a set of interco trxus sts'. thoughts??

I think the sts's are a more popular pulling tire, Good luck finding a set, I have been on the hunt for damn near a year now and have spoke with the factory and as of right now they are not being made due to the economy I was told.

If the track is tight, and you have a lot of tire, it bogs hard on the shifts. This can often be combated by moving your shift points way the heck up and staying out of T/H mode.

I find even on the tight tracks my truck still blows the tires off im gunna work on suspension and see how that helps.
