maybe a silly question if I tie into the rubber inlet line on the fuel filter with a vacuum gauge will the gauge read higher as the filter is restricted.

What is gearhead?

User rating after x amount of posts it goes to something else.. or you can change it.

I’d say 90% of people are more worried about particulate count than flow. So seeing a psi gauge will probably not tell you you need a filter replaced until it’s in bad shape whereas most people just replace them periodically bc they are cheapish.

Do you have a lift pump? If not, you want the gauge inline between the fuel filter and cp3 pump, maybe at the fuel test port...

No. If you want to read filter restriction you need to put a gauge after the filter. This is without a lift pump.

Use this. Remove the factory quick connect fitting and thread this in place of it. I would strongly suggest you either heat the fitting before removing or use an impact driver (the kind you use with a hammer, not a pneumatic impact) to remove it; they are known to break. FYI, GM specifies max allowable restriction for a stock fuel system is 12 inHG.

That was the one I was going to post for him but apparently searching on your own is to difficult...

And your welcome op. Last time I checked, there is a rubber hose on the inlet and outlet of the fuel filter housing, maybe splice into the outlet side if your two pensions will allow...
