o i have never heard of doing that
how much of a problem is it if the (program pcm with loaded os and calibrations button) is not highlighted on my toolbar

Close down your FlashScan, computer and disconnect everything.

Start up your PC, then connect FlashScan - can you hear the "ding" with the computer acknowledging FlashScan? If you are not getting this connection, then you will need to look at uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.

Please also advise what software version you are running and what type of vehicle you are trying to tune.

In terms of the problem you describe with your tune, it's not possible for EFILive to reset your truck to stock during a failed attempt - either the stock tune was already in the truck or you flashed it back in.

Cheers
Cindy

this may sound stupid but are you reading the truck instead of writing to it?
(meaning using the green button instead of the red ones)

Also make sure the tunes are "actually" different...:D also sounds funny but I know a couple guys who have saved over it with stock tunes...:)

the stock tune wont go back in unless you flash it in.......if you had a modified tune in, and tried to flash another modified tune it would be impossible for the stock tune to surface.

Could you explain Larry...How does the stock tune "reappear" without flashing the stocker .tun file back in?

if you successfully flash a modified tune over the stock tune, there is no way to go back to stock unless you specifically flash the stock tune back in.

its a totally different problem then wat i thought i wasnt even flashing the truck but as far as Pat says the computer regognizes the V2 but at the same time doesnt because the last red button to flash the truck isnt highlighted and it doesnt go into demo mode. And none of my tunes come up with a vin number on them.
