I think Kory is tired of the people calling about dropping rail but their fuel filter has 50,000 miles on it.:spit:

I agree 100% with you it would suck to have to deal with all the silly pointless calls but... When you in business you have to deal with all that shit big or small. Call me old fashion but I love to be able to pick up the phone and call my tuner. Switched from ppei to mark (Danville) best thing I have done. 2 years ago kory was the man for customer service/turn around time and tuning but that has gone way down hill. Rant over sorry OP

Guess I'll try to call tomorrow. No, it won't run without the tune.
What happened to the truck itself? You can't delete the tune in the truck. What is in the truck now? Did it fail when trying to flash it ?

Definitely call during business hours. I have been on the phone once with Kory and many times with Stephanie and his staff and always had a good outcome.

I am thinking about trying Marks tuning just because I have one of his turbos not because I am disappointed in Korys tuning or customer service in any way. The last thing you would want to do is talk smack to one about the other they are all Kory, Rob and Mark are pretty good friends and have worked one some projects together.
I recommend the OP call and get this resolved as he already has tunes he paid for but hasn't been able to enjoy yet...

I agree, left ppei as well. I troubleshot my truck for 4 months and 10k miles before I switched to a local shop who would take the time to not make mistakes.
Ran down a hundred other possibilities and the tune was the issue.

Sounds like my truck right now. Runs like dogshit and I get told it has to be something I'm doing wrong. And no way it can be tuning. (Tuner to remain nameless) 3 months of troubleshooting so far.

Yeah I felt like I ran down every option, found things that seemes like issues and then after further checking they weren't. Was essesntially told the same, thst the problem had to be on my end. So i just went and payed for new tunes just to eliminate the possibility. And boom! Ran perfect. sucks knowing you wasted so many hours and it wasn't on your end.

Went thru the same exact experience with my previous truck and PPEI tuning.

"Its your FPR", "Its your transmission"... Not a single ounce of good customer service. Always had to go thru a middle man, never the person writing the files.

IMO too much focus on looking "cool" and being popular in social media avenues... Not enough emphasis on what really matters in the sport.

This time im going a different route this time and never looking back.

After missing half the crap on my tunes after I built my motor I said screw it. I was getting egr and glow plug codes. The truck was gutless tell 50 then it turned into a smokey mess. Korys exact words to me. I am to busy to make phone calls. With a fully built motor it pissed me off that he just half assed a tune. My current tuner has went to fine detail getting my truck dialed in. Tell he has a passion for it. Not in it just for the money. He also don't call me "BRO" like I am some 16 year old kid.

Its too easy to shift the blame to the driver/truck, just like its too easy to shift the blame to the tuner.

Luckily, when I have had issues, Idaho Rob has helped me via email even though we didnt really come to a definite conclusion, the guys at ATP were kind enough to help me out the best they could 2300 miles

Great to hear some feedback on PPEI like I've experienced the last couple years. Korys attitude is he's the best tuner there is out there and there would never be a mistake in the tune to cause an issue and it must be the truck. Well guess what?, I've had 3-4 trucks that had issues running right and I went from bottom to top multiple times to make sure there were no mechanical issues, wasting hours of my time. Through datalogging he resolved a couple of the trucks but still not perfect, and there were a couple I just gave up on and went else where for tunes which actually corrected the issue. The quality of tuning and customer service has gone to shit. I've switched my business to a tuner who will actually give me the time of day and take a phone call if needed to talk about an issue.

That intake is bunk. Looks like a K&N with one of those super old school AFE shields on it. Ive ran my volant with the donaldson filter forever, works great, best filtration available.
