I agree...don't think it makes much of a difference. IMO it's just brand preference. Those "tests" aren't even comparable though...setup wasn't even close to the same between the two

Ats is a better kit. cheeper and it will spin fast a smaller pulley spins fast than the biger one. ATS is a way better kit.

Think you need to lay down the cheer leader balls and retype the above. Do you run one of these kits on your truck. I'm still trying to make out your sig. Looked like your running a Ppe hand held but then it also says your running a ats tuner kinda lost there.

Its funny when people write posts like this telling some one to stop being a cheer leader when you have been toting PPE this whole thread...

I actually belive the pump efficiency over 3k may drop. I really doubt flow drops at that point. There's a big difference between losing some efficiency and getting to the point where it becomes a loss.

It shows me that $4000 heads from socal and 20% more on injectors aint worth it :thumb:
It shows me he should have added a bigger charger to compliment the better flowing heads and more fuel (probably should have gone bigger than 40% too).

My other post were helping and I'm a vendor for Ppe and I run the item in ?

The post that you quoted me on was for how werd he typed it and how his sig is filled out kinda looks like a ats cheer leader but he also says he is running a Ppe programer along with it so ok.

What do you have to add to this thread other then about me ? You did not say what cp3 kit you like or even run on your truck. Not sure what you even have your sig is not filled out. But I see you have posted in another thread I posted in about ats with my co Pilot not working. So I take it your a ats guy.

You can call me out in a thread on what I post when you start adding more to the forum then I do. If you want to take over dong the vin checks and Gm service info and odd and end tech help have at it I'll just watch and learn

I'll just leave it at that...I didnt know that you were going to get so offended

And I've run the ATS kit..it did a great job. What I like is that the pulley diameter is matched to the factory pump. So at 3000 RPM, they are doing close to the same work. Also, I like the fact that it is a true twin CP3, where each CP3 services one rail each.

This is not true the PPE kit is ran the same way as the ATS kit

How can we tell if the Pulley is matched to the factory pump. Do we all know what rpm the factory pump spins well some people do.

I'm running a PPE hot-2 setting 4, with a ATS turbo and there controller computer for the turbo unit. i have one in my garage but haven't installed it yet. As i was waiting for the insurance to let me know on the truck if its totaled or what. was hit in passenger side rear door and fender. But the ATS tuner is Made by PPE if you look at them there the same setup. I run both PPE and ATS for the money i like them better. but PPE had the hot + 2 tuner where ATS didn't.

Yes the E power is made by PPE but the tunning is ATS. The PPE hand helds have alot more power on tap. So are you running the PPE hand held or the one that ATS sells if its the PPE one you do not need the delete box for the VVT to run the ATS turbo since that is built into the PPE tunes. I take it you mean you have a twin cp3 kit in your garage waiting to go on your truck. Sorry to hear it got hit if its only the door and rear fender and being a newer truck they should fix it. With you running a ats 3000 really dont need the extra fuel from the twin cp3 kit same as the thread starter. Anyone with a stock motor Your motor being a LBZ will crack a piston with a stock tune and turbo on its own is the sad part mine made it 30,500 miles but I did beat the hell out it. The thread started his motors weak link is the rods in the LB7.Playing with these truck costs alot of money its easy to bolt on a turbo and exhaust and tune it add fuel but when they blow thats when most start to wish they did not skip to all the bolt on part first.
Good luck on your truck getting the side repaired. Was not trying to slam you in the post but could not make out what you were typing and you sig in kinda werd lol. yes its a LBZ sold as a LLY tuned with the lower settings then you had it retuned to the LBZ specs. but when you had PPE Hot 2 then ATS Computer controler for the 06 & new for engine codes that kinda throws people off lol.:spit:

im ruinning the PPE hot + 2 in setting 4. yes i just got the kit the Twin cp3 kit i got the kit so i hope it would stop with the lower pressure code for fuel when towwing and racing. my turbo made it to 99,458 then started sucking oil out of the crank case. about 3 qts every 1000 miles. yes i had alot of people ask me about the ATS computer controler. the ATS computer is really for the Vain sensors and the map from what ATS told me. the Dealer voided my warrenty at 99,458 because of the boost gauage and EGT gauge i have on the rig. i never had a tuner on it tell after 100,000 mile when the warrenty went out but then that happend i made more power and HOTT truck for them rice burners. i love it when they come up and next to me an rev there rice burners up. i hit the tow mode an im gone. even the wife plays too with them too. funny:D

honestly without knowing diameters of the ppe, ats and crank pulleys it's impossible to say for sure which is under/over or 1;1 driven. hell for all we know both kits might be underdriven, but both look pretty close to the same as the crank pulley to me. I would guess there both within a couple % of 1;1 drive like the one in the valley.

actually the crank gear and pump gear are more important, the cam gear just acts as an idler gear making it irrelevant as far as pump drive. the pump and crank gear at a glance appear to be the same, I didn't count teeth or anything but they appear to have the same diameter.:thumb:

I've had and ran both kits on very fast trucks. Both work fine. There was a lot of discussion 2 and 3 years ago when they first came out about the size of the pulley and if they were underdriving or overdriving. What's your rail pressure, if you can hold rail pressure who gives a shit? We ended up going to two modified wicked pumps on our twin CP setup on Max'd Out to hold rail pressure. If you want to ge patient keep an eye open in the for sale sections of these forums and get one that someone is selling. Or buy one of the kits minus the CP pump and get your own pump, These things are not rocket science. Buy a controller harness and pully and make your own.
