I like my 6000k's, I might try 5000k's just to see if there's that much of a difference

I knew what color temp they were when i ordered them. I didnt know that it would be that dramatic. But anyways....I went to take a video of them last night. Turned them on and now they dont work. The driver side came on and the passenger side keeps flickering on and off. Now both sides wont even come on. So, im giving up on HID's for now. NO...i dont not want to spend the time to send them back, just enjoy the money u got from me PPE. Cause it's the last.

Have you check the connections? if you hook the ballast directly to the battery do they still flicker?

Not to bash but I had not so good service from ppe and it was Dan that I was dealing with. I will do future business elsewhere.
I don't know how you could go without HIDs after having them. 6 or 8k are amazing. How are 5000 or 4300k when driving in snow. They have to be hard on the eyes?

Driven in many a snow storm with my 5k's. Only prob i had was snow sticking to the lenses and not melting off like the hot halogens did. Othwise you could see VERY well

Man I am waiting for someone to say Dan smells bad too like beef and cheese... I have had no issues with them but I order through the site generally, that way I avoid the smell

I bought a used ppe dual cp3 kit and was missing a few parts. I sent a few emails sent pics of what I had talked to you 3 or 4 times on the phone. I was told you were making me a parts list and would call with the cost and what all I needed. Never heard back left a few messages. Then gave up and machined the parts I needed myself. It was late last sept. Don't worry bad service seems to be the norm in the diesel industry. Only a few good guys that I dealt with on my build. A few bigger shops really surprised me with their lack of service, and I was pleased with the service from a few others.

Here is where I step in... Everyone that calls PPE asks to speak with Dan! You know why?... Because he is one of the best to deal with! I have been on wait for over 30 minutes before just so I could speak with him. I have had to leave a few messages and wait for a call back and sometimes that call comes the next day sometimes I have to call him back. The point that I am making is that he is always helping someone, we just have to wait our turn. And sometimes you have to stay on top of it to get what you want. I talked to Dan almost everyday waiting for my TC to come in because I know he is busy and I needed it asap. Dan even called me the day before the NHRDA races this last weekend just to give me some advice and help me setup my truck for the drags.

All I am saying is that Dan is the reason I deal with PPE and I cant imagine calling and not being able to ask his advice on something or just shoot the shit about a new product. Thanks for always taking care of me!

I agree with this. Dan, like many others who provide good service will get too busy and overwhelmed at times when everyone contacts him at once, but he always gets it done. :D

Hope those who had issues have better luck with whatever comes next...sucks when things go wrong and you can't get it taken care of. :thumb:

Hey bud I'm glad you have the time to sit and wait for Dan. My schedule doesn't allow me to do that. I am sure Dan is a great guy with too much to do and not enough time to dpo it. I think that is where alot of the companies go wrong. Dan shouldn't be the only person in the shop that knows their ass from a hole in the ground. There are plenty of places that I have dealt with that had employees that were under qualified. PPE was by no means the worst place to deal with. I was not satisfied with my treatment so I will take my business elsewhere. I put 20k worth of parts in my truck last year. I dealt with a good number of suppliers. Over half of them I wasn't satisfied with. I plan on leaving my truck the way it is and drive it until it dies. I enjoy alot of other sports that I feel the service is better and the peoople are friendlier. The last couple years the diesel industry has gotten very cutthroat and bitter. To me that takes alot of the enjoyment out of the sport. Sorry for the rant. Maybe somebody will read it take it to heart and change the way they operate.
