HID kits are all the same. They are made oversees.

The cost on these kits, no matter what they are branded or sold as, is close to $30 US.

I had to eat shipping twice, they send me a junk part, then the wrong part and finally the right one. It's also almost impossible to get hold of anyone that can help you ( I will say that theyre friendly to talk to at least). I don't think I will do business with them again mainly because they flat out lied too me...... And yes, Rick sucks giant b@lls to talk to on the phone.
On edit: what really pisses me off is that thier faulty part caused me to have to pull the trans again and tear it partially down and they wouldn't even ship the flow control valve for free, cost me $25 shipping twice, wtf!
Sent from my Evo while driving.

5k would be as white as you get before you go yellow or blue. I have 5k and they are VERY bright with the 35w. i almost think i got sent 55w ones :D

You want 6k then, 8k looks best imo! Nice ice blue color.

Sent from my Evo while driving.

4.3k is yellow, 5k is the whitest, 6k has a little blue tint and 8k is blue. 10k is purple.

Sorry about your troubles marcus, ive been in the same boat with US Speedo. they are charging me for shipping charges when i had free shipping to begin with. filed a claim with my bank and so far, they are ruling in my favor

So Cal.
I ordered the 12,000k Purple HID kit from PPE a couple of weeks ago. Got them and installed them on the truck. NO issue's

After about a week of them being on the truck the one of the bulbs went from being a little purple to a royal blue and then almost white. So i called them and told them my issue. They told me to fill out the return form and send them back. So i did...about $25 in shipping.

They get them and tested them...i guess to see if i was BS-ing. They told me that there was a problem with them and had to get upgraded parts to make them work properly.

So....I get a call tonight from the guy at PPE saying they are ready to be shipped out. YAY!......not really. He then asked me how i wanted them shipped. And I told them it wasnt a heart transplant so i would be fine with ground shipping. THEN....out of no where! The guy told me since the parts are upgraded and they work better, they will cost more. But I didnt have to pay the extra cost but they want me to pay to have them shipped back to me.

Im thinking BS...anyone else?

Please give me a call directly. I will resolve this for you ASAP. I'm sorry you had trouble with our kit.

My duel fueler kit keeps shreading the rib off belts and when i called them they pretty much told me to i was screwed to ''play'' with the bracket and figure it out myself!

Did you ever resolve this issue? If so what was the fix?

I would say they need to eat shipping. Sounds like better wording would be the new parts actually work, not work better, as your last ones didnt.

It sounds like thats quite common on their dual cp3 kit.

If this is quite common then please show me who is having this issue. If the kit is installed and not checked for straightness then how is this a kit issue? There are tolerances in everything made including the brackets that GM installed on the truck. Some will line up perfect and some will require a slight alignment. The brackets are made on a CNC Brake and are VERY consistent. In the begining there are some kits that were missing a washer that was needed, but that has been fixed for years....

Do a search, ive seen some personally do it, and ive seen some personally work fine, maybe its not a kit issue, maybe its just certain trucks, ive never seen it mentioned once about any other kits having an alignment issues or any needing to be shimmed.. but maybe ive missed it. If GM's accessory brackets were that inconsistant, wouldnt some power steering pumps, ac's, alternators and other pulleys come out of the factory shimmed? Not trying to bash here, that just seems how it would be to me. We made my own alternator bracket, I know its close, but not perfect, i think it takes quite a bit to throw a belt.

Not to stomp on dan, but for hid, VVME is awesome. I have bought many sets, and everyone I know that runs them hasn't had issues yet. I can't say anything good or bad about ppe as I've never tried them. There is a saying you get what you pay for, but from what I've found, if you pay for an hid kit, you get an hid kit, I just payed alot less. I've seen VVME hid kits rebadged selling for 3x what I payed. I know it's the same kit cause it says VVME on the ballast.
