After my last race outing I started to see copper flakes in the oil filter so I made the decision to take the motor down and diagnose and repair. Not what I wanted to do right in the middle of summer when the truck is starting to come together...

Good excuse to dress her up a little under the hood and Rick stepped up with some very nice gloss black powder coating on the tinwork. Pics don't do it justice but you get the idea.

I don't think it has been quite a week since I dropped these off. Great customer service and awesome job Rick!

Thanks guys. Hopefully I can keep my greasy finger prints off most of it (at least long enough to get a picture). Now I think I have opened Pandora's box - the firewall, frame rails, fender wells, all need some cleaning & painting. I was actually polishing a little on the Spearco - man what have I done to myself.
