I have some type of oily liquid that is on the front of my lift kit and dripping from a few areas on the front passenger side.
What would be on the front pass side that would leak a oily liquid?

Too far forward to be tranny fluid yes?

The trans cooler lines are a mix of hard line and rubber line, they usually leak where the hard line crimps to the rubber. If you lay under the truck, the worst spot for me was at the top pass. side of the plastic skid plate thing, directly behind the bumper. I'm on my 5th or 6th set of lines.

I didnt get to the last post but did you ever get yours fixed?

I saw the post with that guy using SS lines and those blue anodized fittings. I wonder how they turned out.

Nope, mine still leaks, but I'm still using GM lines though. I will be doing something about it when the weather warms up. Have you determined that's where your leak is? There are also vendors on here that sell the trans line repair kits. Tony at All Season, and Mike L. come to mind.

Cant these things be made for a lot less? I wouldnt know what I would need to do so but it doesn't seem like these are worth $265

This isn't an exact list since I dont remember what I used on my old LLY, but this is a ball park.

-6 AN power steering rated hose 6ft $32 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-632610

-6 AN hose ends 90* you need 2 of these or a straight or a 45* depending on your application and routing. $16 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-620421

its either 16mm or 18mm again I dont remember off the top of my head 16 or 18mm/-6 AN powersteering adapter. $11 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aaf-all48210 Whatever size they are you'll need one at the hyrdo boost pump and another at the master cylinder.

Those parts should put you in the right area so you know what your looking for at least. A search or maybe someone else can comment on what size adapter you need, Its been over 3 years since I did my old truck.

Only issue I can forsee running into is clocking the fittings correctly I used to 90* degree fittings so the hose if not clocked perfectly will want to rotate, kind off like coiling up a cheap garden hose, mine turned out all right, but its a short section of hose so its not going to have a whole lot of play. Obviously the situation can be avoided by using a 90* or 45* on one end and a straight on the other, but you'll have to pop the hood to see what will work for you. Tony's kit avoids that by just replacing the rubber hose and using the hard pieces. You may have to get some rubber isolators and secure the hose to depending on how it turns out.
