Hey guys here our problem. When we buy these trucks we pay a lot more than 100.00 for the option of a heated washer fluid. There is a recall on many models including the new body style duramaxes 07.5-10they only want to cut your harness and take the module out and give you 100.00. For me I want it fixed to be put back like it should be working! I got my new after market part today and went to put it in and found I have a burnt wire that goes right through the firewall and to the switch I believe it is. The shielding around the wire is gone! All gm wants to do is cut the ends and look at the wiring fine so be it what about this option we all paid for? The company they bought them from filed bk but that is not our problem that is GM's problem is this not? They need to make this right now a lot of us paid for an option that was more than they want to give back and yet we have a button that don't work right? I wanted this option. Ok here is how a class action suit is done. Four things. 1. Numerosity - enough plaintiffs to make class action an efficeint way to handle the claim.

2. Commonality - common issues of fact and law for each claimant

3. Adequacy of Class Rep - the person who is the class representatitve needs to have claims that are the same as the class members and that they are capable of serving as the representative.

4. Adequqcy of Counsel - that the law firm representing the class has sufficient skill and resources to represent the class.
Look if someone can help me just a bit and if enough others are behind this I will take the ball and be this representitive! How many can I count on here? The other thing would be for me to find an attorney that will take it for us which I will do. If there is enough people here I will try and find an attorney that is willing to represent us on a class action suite. Also you can read this link below and we meet the requirements we just need the people it will not be much on your alls end other than support and info from the attorney if we can get it that far. http://www.lawyersandsettlements.com/faq.html[/url] Gm needs to fix this and the right way not with a 100.00 and a pat on the back and say thank you! I will work hard to find an attorney if enough others will work with me on this.

Your truck is not in it the washer heater is recalled on a bunch of different models these trucks being one. If you take it to a GM dealer they take the module out cut the harness tape it up and give you 100.00. Has to do with more than a wire has to do with making the option function like we ordered and paid a lot more than 100.00 for which is all they are giving us. You have to have the new body style to have it.

Does it even get cold enough is Nevada for you to need this :spit: I thinki you will not like the out come of this thread on this site. Might want to find a new one to post it on also if you dont like the truck over this option go buy a Ford or Dodge and see how many things you will have issues with.

I've been looking around to see if there are any other options I don't use on my LMM they'd like to pay me $100 to disable.

I'll take $20 OBO for the tire pressure monitoring.

Somebody needs a hug. How much is the heated washer fluid thingy option. And here's an idea, just use some lower temp fluid.

Aside from the whole class action waste of time, I would have to side with this guy because if you buy something no matter how trivial it may seem to someone else, you paid for it and you should get it. However, you are best to tuck your tail and walk away bud because your not going to win a lawsuit against the government oh I mean GM.

Every class action lawsuit settles for 25 Mil or better. You will recieve a check for 10.00 dollars if you can prove you were one of the injured parties. You will of course say screw that along with the other millions that say the same thing and the lawyers will take it all. I get forms all the time telling me I am entitled to get 1.25 if I fill out the questionair using my evelope and my stamp.

That pretty much sums it up. The lawyers if anyone are the ones that will benefit.

I dunno what one would expect to recover from GM. Obviously you paid for the option and it should work and it sucks but in reality it's not GM fault but a supplier. So you sue GM ,GM sues the supplier who is bankrupt at this point anyway so............

GM chose to give you back your money which is a lot cheaper then retro fitting another heater. Take the $100 bucks go out to dinner and forgetaboutit.

Years ago automobiles didn't even come with AC. How the hell are we going to survive with out heated windshield fluid!

I still do.

Me too in my Jeep. :thumb:

What pisses me off is these blinkers today. I mean WTF I have to lift my arm push on the stalk in the direction I'm going and then if I don't shut it off,MORE LABOR, this miserable chime comes on the radio scaring the crap out of me! :D

What the hell my Harley Davidson blinker shuts off after my turn! Can't GM figure that out? I mean really the truck should be able to read my mind in the direction I'm turning, turn the blinker on and then off when I'm done! :D

Don't EVEN get me started on Intermediate wipers!

In the big scheme of life why would you waste your precious time on something as petty as heated washer fluid. I know for a fact I would never ever do any type of work for you as there would always be something wrong.

Take your $100 deposit and buy this. Then spend the extra $30 on Kleenex for your alligator tears. I honestly think crap like this type of lawsuit is what's wrong with our country. Gm is giving enough money to fix the issue, all that's needed is the ability to operate google.

Indeed crap like this IS ruining our country. That's why ,or explains why things are so screwed up because many ,perhaps the majority of our politicians in office are lawyers!

Anyway with GM giving $100 dollars as a token pretty much buys a replacement part and enough change to feed a family of illegal immigrants at Mcdonalds! :D

Kinda like sueing Wal Mart because one employee called another one a racist comment-Wal Mart didn't do it the persone did so sue them-wait-they don't have any money-kinda like the company who filed BK-they are broke so lets sue GM over a petty bullshit option that shouldn't have even be offered kinda like the heated steering wheel in an Escalade, options for sissies (IMO) wear some gloves, scrape your damn windshield and start it 15min before you have to go anywhere, duh!
