The Blue Springs dyno is out of operation right now. Anyone have more info on the Lees Summit one?

Good write up. I just started porting an lly turbo for my lmm. I still have to clean the up pipe side but for the most part its done. Then ultra sonic clean everything and reassemble with fingers veins and batmo. I'm looking forward to the results and also seeing how it runs with Efi live. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Good deal :thumb:.
You're going to love how it sounds and takes off. Throw them up here when you get done.

Port/polish that LML before you install it. Take the passenger side off to and do the same.

You should be happy with your efforts.

TX of course
Is there a real coating? I think the ford guys are going over everything with a die grinder to remove the carbon and rust.

Man ya'll are giving me ideas.

There's no coating on that surface. On all the turbo's I've taken apart I've never seen a coating; steel on steel.

Remove all the rust you can & try smooth it out with a flap wheel; do so without remove to much material so you don't screw with air flow.

NAFLASH,
Did you open up the whole exhaust side? You may have trouble spooling the turbo now being you changed the air flow characteristics on the discharge of the turbine wheel; meaning you'll loose alot of air between the turbine wheel and exhaust housing. I have no proof of this but it makes sense in my mind, haha.

Man ya'll are giving me ideas.

Everybody's doing it:D
