how much material do you think was removed from the exhaust outlet??? i ported my lly turbo and added a batmowheel last year. I am gonna add finger's vanes and polish and port some more over the winter. But im gonna throw the exhaust housing on a lathe and bore the exhaust outlet and see how that goes. Any idea if there is a upgraded bearing kit or what the turbo builders use for this type of work?

I match up the ID of the turbine side with the ID of an aftermarket downpipe.
Fingers vane are very nice and I look forward to installing more in turbo's :thumb:.
The place I get the rebuild kit from has a 360 degree thrust washer so there a little up grade there.
I do all my porting/polishing by hand at this point.

How much more power would this make on a good efi Max effort tune vs a batmo'd stocker?

I really can't answer that. I've never done back to back comparison. I've always wanted to but I've never had the opportunity. I also have an LB7, a job I'm at 12 - 13 hrs a day, a garage/trailer full of tools I'm trying to organize so I can use the garage, and a 3 month old :D. Needless to say I'm a little busy but love the time I have at home.:thumb:

I would imagine it's quite noticeable.

Also has any of these been dynoed after the work?? Any results? Technically these are basically like Mark's (danville perf.) work stock style stock appearing 64mm turbos that he makes?

I haven't dyno'd any before or after. I would like to but at this point I haven't been able to. If I could fine someone local to me with a stock LLY that I could dyno before and after.

I'm just cleaning up the basic turbo and making them flow more. I use stock wheels or batmowheels; never messed with enlarging the intake for larger wheels or looking at where I could get them.

I've never looked at Danvilles in person turbo but know that Mark and Larry do a great job and build some sweet turbos.:thumb:

There are a few dynos in your area. I would like to see some numbers, I know the truck I saw last weekend sounded like it had a cheetah in it...

I've heard there's one in Lawrence and lee's summit. I'll have to look into one of them.
She definitely has a nice sound to it and moves along pretty good. :woott:

The one in Lee Summit a load dyno?

I've been trying to get on the dyno in Lawrence for about year now. I've dynoed there twice before. He has a good dyno and does a good job, just can't ever get a hold of him. If you get something set up at either place, let me know. I'd like to get my truck on.

That's good to know.
I've got a bunch of stuff I need to do before I get to that point. I need to get some turbo's ready so I can do the swaps quick.

If you decide you want to play with an LMM let me know. There's a load cell dyno in Blue springs I've used before. We can do before and after.

I would love to Rick, :thumb:. Did you have anything special in mind or just want to see the results with port/polish/batmowheel?
I'll keep my eye out for an LMM turbo ;)

I maybe calling you in the near future for a build I'm going to be working on.:woott:

Lawrence is where I have dynod, only issue is I hear it is a cummins friendly dyno, which would explain my strange numbers. He is a good guy but he is busy I guess best bet is to stop by and see him
