Good. Hope that shit gets to 4 bucks, then there will be more work.

And it'll slow the riff raft clogging up the roads.

My wife and I own a gas station, if gas is $1.85 or $4.00 a gallon we still sell about the same gallons a day. It doesn't matter to me what it does price wise, if we can get it.

They'll get it fixed just like last time if people won't freak out it'll be ok

^^^^THIS is right. We had a guy came last time this happened and filled 3 vehicles up, I said where you going? He said no where. People act like they won't be able to get gas again, ever. Just chill out.

What do people expect when they keep trying to stifle new replacement pipeline projects across the country? Old infrastructure is not going to carry us much further without costs like these. Granted, these contractors Colonial has working for them are a bunch of morons by the sound of it. That doesn't help matters.

Cheap gas puts thousands out of work and expensive gas puts people to work and limits the pointless trips, it's a loose loose, but I'd assume see it a little high to keep people working.

high price puts people out of work just as much as low price. no matter how you see it, its a loose loose for people to work.

This is true, never really thought about the transport and farming side of the fuel price.

it translates much farther than that. less people will vacation which means less vehicle work and less for mechanics. also means less for hotels/motels or tourist locations and so on. the happy medium wont ever be achieved cause there isnt one.

but it also drives companys for a new market to come about like alternative fueled vehicles or ways of making energy. some of what we have is a crappy interpretation of "energy efficient" in terms of vehicles, homes and so on compared what could be. headway on that type started really making some steps forward before prices dropped off the chart in 08. new markets means new jobs and new areas not dependent on oil so prices wont be as badly affected. by no means is it an overnight fix but it will certainly drive progress. the best inventions come out of necessity.
