With the truck being used now I would refuse to pay the 2000. If you return the truck and get your trade in back they would take a huge loss

That's what I'm thinking. You would think they would absorb the cost of 2000. Considering I spent 60000 and my dad just bought a 49000 1500 Ltz two months ago. But if they can't do it ah well. I will move on and purchase another truck

They sounds like scum bags. Too late, they have to swallow the cost.

If you do bring it back. Buy somewhere else.

Sounds like they would be the ones to sell it as a demo now and not a used truck anyway.

Haha I know everyone is telling me that. Not a big deal just time and effort wasted is what I'm mad about. Ah well I wanted can lights anyway so I make out anyway. It still is crazy to me that they are coming to get it but shit happens

Wow. Sounds shady as hell. I'd look into another dealership to avoid this BS again. But you get to buy a whole new truck again :woott:

Unreal!

Set it on jack stands, block the tires and drop it in drive. Rack up the miles on that thing for 24 hours. Leave little Post It notes in inconspicuous areas with words like "gonorrhoea, syphilis, Ron Jeremy" etc :happy2:

I'd be pissed if I was in your shoes.

Yeah I though about lifting it up with my forklift and letting it roll but better judgement kicked in. Ha

I'm just curious, how many miles are on truck. I've never heard of something like this happening. Are they agreeing to return your trade in?

Sorry for the trouble you're going through, such BS.
Hopefully the next deal works out better.

Back in 2009 when I sold my house in IL about 1-2 months after we closed, signed the paperwork, and I got the check; I got a call from the title agency saying that I owed them $2k in tax because it classified as a retired veteran residence. I was 26 so obviously neither, I personally went into the office and signed the paperwork when I bought it and sold it.

I told them to pound sand and it was their fault b/c the paperwork as a done deal. They threatened to garnish my paychecks if I didn't pay, nothing ever happened.

Go smoke a cigar in it. Put a from oil filter on. Stick a big C sticker in the back window.

LOL x2

Open a can of tuna under the back seat.

Go try some guilt free boosted launches

Yeah I'm going over my trade with a fine tooth comb. My lawyer told me its a truck we can find another no use in going into litigation, when you can get the same deal on the same product else where. But the time and bullshit I went through will not be repaid

Following this thread just irritated me so much. Terrible how they are jerking you around. No sense in trying to get some revenge here. Your best bet is to vote with your wallet. Never give that dealership another dime. Not in parts or service, nothing. Your absolutely right that you can find another deal somewhere else. Tell everyone you know as well. Some people just don't understand that they didn't just lose your initial sale but potentially thousands more over the years in your continued patronage. I hope it all works out for you
