I would say cams really shine in sled pulling. Getting in the right rpm range helps a ton. I run stock pushrods, never had a problem.

I think for the price of some of these cams that are in some of these trucks making big power and only costing $600-750 for a awesome cam. Why not. Just my opinion.

they grind the base circle to get the extra lift and duration basically it is like adding matierial in a way:thumb:

Another thought that is possibly as important if not more (worth doing before a cam upgrade) would be valve springs from what I gather!?

At what point of RPM and boost does a set of springs really come into effect... from what I have read, higher boost and higher rpms (3500-4000 and obviously higher) this starts to be a real issue? No personal experience here, just what I've picked up....
