I need to raise my HTT atleast 2"

the big ass Y bridge we made is to big! there is not a chance of getting the air intake onto the turbo

I have 3 choices
1- riase the turbo from the pedistall up and put a even bigger spacer to connect the oil drain
2- turn the turbo sideways
3- go back to a stock Y bridge ( stock is NOT a option )

How high you think we could raise a HTT and still close the hood?

the more I look at the Y bridge the more i think it is to tall, yet its is stock hieght. The 90 I have on there is pushed in as low as it can go
I dont need to worry about the turbo hitting the hood because my 90 coming into the Y bridge will be still higher:rolleyes:

I have 2 3/8" spacer I made under my GT42. If I had it to do again I would go 2 1/2"
I would be more worried about the turbine housing hittinh the cowl that the comp side hitting the hood.

I think that pipe could be cut-off below the fittings Simon. Then we can just drill and tap new ones in a better spot. And raise the little feller up 2 1/2"

Me and my welder buddy were looking at making a new y bridge just yesterday, and i figured i would either have to raise the charger up and inch or two or do some fancy fab work to make a decent sized pipe fit down there! Good luck Simon, Let me know how it works out!

After looking at it this morning, i agree. Cut it down, we can lose 4" off of it, and machine a collar onto it, and still have room for the ports. I think they need to be located in the front somewhere for clearance. But there is a lot of room to still work with. Your cowl hood will help with that turbo too. I don't think 2.5" will be an issue.:)

After you get the FICM/alternator back on you may need the elevation to swing the pipe into the motor.

IMO- to late to spin the charger. IF you need another spacer and know Dan at PPE well he may let go of one, they are 2.5" as well IIRC.

Good luck, getting close!
