Mine was leaking. Took it all apart and tried to get a new seal at checker and vato zone since it was too late to try a good parts store. FAIL. Put it back together without changing anything and voila it never leaked again.![Confused  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
mine were 3 pcs when i pulled them off the spindleGot it done. Seal came off in two parts. Didn't really notice the part on the spindle till I read the thread in the link from my previous post. Live and learn I guess. Hardest part of the whole project was getting the dang caliper bolts loose.
dmaxvaz, mine actually came apart in 3 parts too. Hopefully this new seal is better. I read a few posts where people were having a re-occurring problem with this leak after replacing the seal. I hope this isn't the case. Although now that i know what i'm doing, it wouldn't take long to replace it again. One question: When filling the differential back up, is there a specific procedure? I filled mine up after i initially had to re-install the old one, took it for a ride. Then when i took it apart again, there didn't seem to be fluid in the axle like when originally pulling the axle. Does it take a while for the fluid to flow down to the axle? My initial ride was only about a mile.
