Still sounds like a valve body issue to me.

You said suncoast was sending you another one, so I would wait and see what it does with the new valve body.

This is the reason I will never sell a valve body. either the so called builder destroys it with sanding or something is very wrong inside and continues sending crap into the valve body.
Either way I lose.
If you did something wrong inside you will never win this fight. If so, your converter is full of this shit and will stick the E shift valve right away even if you find and fix the problem.
Allisons are easy. Everyone says so. Till they don't work. Now go earn your money.:D

No after talking with mike it sounded like another valve body was a better idea. Now i kinda wish i would have.i had less issues with my old valve body then the new one live and learn i guess

I've seen how thorough George is at what he does. If you have valves sticking you didn't flush the system good enough or you have another issue going on.

I see your point mike. Should have just shipped you the transmission and had it done right. It would have been cheaper to have you do it in the long run looks like ill be paying 2x what it should have cost. I'm about ready just to pull it and pay to have it done right if your even willing to build me one. i had to learn the hard expensive way. I wouldn't be shock if something is wrong inside anymore at this point

Thanks for the replay man ill look at the valve body again. You thinking something maybe didn't get flushed good enough and causing the valves to sick or something else?

Not a lot to "flush" when you build it, if you disassemble everything you can see nearly all of the surfaces and passages. Getting everything sparkling and keeping it that was as you assemble is key. Some guys will assemble in an old barn with the doors open and a crosswind outside and have good luck, others will have issues and not know why. Good light is key too, can't find dirt without light. if you cant afford lights in your shop, go online and buy a good headlight. No not at Home Depot, a good headlight with big balls. I use a Zebralight H602W. Nuetral color, serious flood 1000lm, nice for up close, uses nice 18650 batteries but is still light. If you buy something that uses AA's you wont get the output or run time, but you can buy batteries around the corner.

Flush the coolers until they are clean as well before reinstalling. If you had everything spotless, new converter and clean coolers you shouldn't have contamination issues.

My shop is very well lit and cleaner then some of the small transmission shop around here i have built motors in it with no issue. Thought i was capable to build a transmission and had the manual right there and the sun coast papers checked everything a couple times cleaned everything the best i could but luck just wasn't on my side hell i even covered everything at night so no dust would get on anything just like i do with my motors. I know that don't mean much and wont fix it now just thought I'd reply

Not saying you did anything wrong, sounds like you did a decent job. Stuff happens, you can play with valvebody if you want, talk to suncoast or pull the trans back apart and see whats up. Sometimes just redoing it fixes it. I've had to do it enough times, some two times to get them to work. Weird stuff happens. or little things get overlooked.

Mike isn't the only way to flush the converter to pull it and have sun coast cut it open and clean it and weld it back up? Just wondering if i should pull it back out and send it off and go back throw the transmission

Another question for you mike. Are you thinking i have a clutch clearance set wrong and its eating up a clutch or maybe a bearing in upside down grinding it self apart just trying to get an idea of what to look for when i pull it back out
