for the most part. Still had to adjust the amount of de-fuel mm3's, but all is good now, shifting like it should. Which reminds me, I need to get a C3 oiler for this trans.

Glad to hear it turned out to be an easy fix.:)

Have you thought about trying to build an Ally to hold up without de-fuel?

Do you think its possible?

Been done. It works but better clutches are needed. They will be here next week. I have other clutches coming from another vendor. Tuning is critical. Billet planet and C2 hub will be necessary. Some of the mods we have been doing in the past will not be used any longer. I proved this 5 years ago. Tuning A/B trim solenoids will be necessary.
Why am I telling you this shit. We hate each other.

The secret to my recipe is a little bit of that sheep butter. Keeps everything slippery in there so it shifts nice and smooth. :mikelsheep:

Hmmm. Interesting. When you say tuning is critical, do you mean TCM tuning?

I don't see why a billet planet and C2 hub would be necessary at say 600RWHP and below. I'm assuming your concern is that a tie up is inevitable? Is that why your leaving parts out? I would assume your talking about the C2 apply piston mods?

You hate me? Since when?:roflmao:

You should be asking these questions to your daddy. Didn't he tell you he taught me everything I know? Ask the MF if he ever found my secret holes that I drill.:thumb:

If you have to turn off the defuel request in the tcm you didn't tune the ecm correctly.

When a certain EFI-Live beta tester who is now a "world famous tuner" was the first one to mass release the tcm tunes in a "library" without the tables being a public release, he started a dangerous trend.

Mike, and many other warned about shutting the defuel off, but it fell on deaf ears. Getting cheap $$ tuning and breaking an expensive transmission makes a lot of sense to me.....:roflmao:.....I have "fixed" many trucks with this type of "band-aid" tuning.

Leave the TCM alone and learn how to tune an ECM is the way to move forward IMHO.

;)

First: :thumb:

Second: Why do people not understand this? If you turn off the defuel entirely and it shifts better then the TCM tuning is incorrect. Plain and simple. Is that not just a basic thought pattern? (If the defuel was fine, then you changed it and it wasnt, then you disabled it and it was fine again. How is that not tuning error?) Maybe it takes 'rocket-scientists'?? :dontknow:

People run their no-defuel on their 'self-tuned' trucks and then point fingers at their builders when the hard parts fail.

Is that why his stock Allison with a triple plate converter lasted for almost 100,000 miles at 488RWHP? Matter of fact, its still taking him to and from work every day.

And all this time he has been telling everyone its his TCM tuning......
