I believe that fault is more of a grounding/power issue. Check your harness where it rubs against the driver's side wheel well liner. Several people have had rub throughs that show up as ECM problems.

Possible I suppose but I only have 30 000 miles on my truck so it's not likely in my case. I've never touched the ecm with my fingers or any of the grounds.

No, the harness is rubbing through where it contacts the wheel liner. Has nothing to do with you. One of my friends had his rub through in less than 20 K miles.

Just take a look and make sure the harness is in good shape.

Here is his thread on the DP with pictures on post #17 of the harness issue.

There may be a bit of a mis-communication here, I never had the 2610 show up yet, just the P046C.

I looked at the harness and from what I can see/feel, there is no rubbage yet. But I am going to put loom around it to be sure. And drop the inner fender to get a better look at it.

Did you find anything Chris?

Forgot to check mine:eek:, but a friend's '07 tripped the P2610 yesterday...No visible rub through...He said the MIL came on while sitting in stop-n-go traffic...I'll pull the inner fenderwell when I get a chance...

also the new efi update (build 84) disables EGR without having to set everything. It should take care of some of these EGR codes. I have been running the EGR EFI shut off switch (found in build 84) vs. manually going in and turning everything off for a few weeks now with no issues that I was having.
