Does anybody have experience with the Oreilly's brand trans mounts? Figured I'd replace mine while I have the transfer case out. But it is looking a bit flimsy compared to the stock one. Not sure I trust this thing.

I might take it back and see what napa has to offer.

Can anyone vouch for an autozone mount or napa mount?

Just put in a poly trans mount from merchant last week. I would look into that if you're worried about it.

Has anyone tried bolting the trans mount similar to bolting a motor mount?

This mount isn't necessarily worn out...I'd attempt bolting it like shown below but on both sides, putting a lock nut on and just barely snugging it up.

I used the Energy Suspension mount also, but I did not install the additional plate that came with it. It would have changed the centerline of the transmission to the driveshaft support bearing.

Mike Diesel, that mount looks like it is compressed. This one is compressed by about a 1/4" and can't say I have seen anyone bolt a mount the way you're describing.

Well i said screw it and bolted it. 4 total, 2 on each side. 3/8" grade 8 bolts.

Its solid but still can flex. If it doesn't work out, then I'll either snag a new one from the dealer or go with the energy one.

Well first test run...had the speedo pegged for atleast 10 seconds. I'd say I was going probably 140 and didn't seem to notice any vibrations.

Me and my bro just discussed this, his motor mounts and trans mount were all bad, his trans mount on the zf totally seperated and the tranny scooted toward the passenger side bulging out his trans tunnel lol, probably slid to the passenger side like 3 inches. With zf housings no longer being made I'm scared to bolt or put poly back there. I'm scared it will crack.

Why would you be scared? Too rigid in the back and too loose up front will cause the housing to crack?
