LB7: Oh crap!!!!!

just got a efi v2 and tried to tune my 02 lb7 for the first time with a tune I got off dp,tried 4 times or more and each time the truck started and drove and felt the same so id try again.then I read I should reboot firmwere,so I did and had the tune loading and hit a button on the controller,tune stopped so I tried again and got a 0101 no communication,truck is dead and have no flippin idia how to fix,i think I really screwed up and need help.im going to go cry in the shower now.Thanks to anyone who can help and il buy you a fruit basket!

Did you read out the stock tune first and save it? If so do a "full reflash" with your original stock tune.

First, don't flash tunes off DP.

Second, did you read the stock tune off the truck before flashing?

I did but don't know if they downloaded right and if they did I don't know how to tell,WOW this efi stuff is dangerous shit if you don't know how to use it!

Did you unhook batteries for 10 minutes and try again? Are you using the 7 or 8?

Try unhooking the batteries for 15 min and try again. Not sure if it will fix your problem but I've had a no com error on my LLY's after trying to flash with the ABS relay still in.

yes I did,i have the battery charger on and am going to disconnect batterys in a min,just made a stiff rum and coke to take the edge off and I don't drink.Thanks to everyone for the help!!!:hug:

I have 7 and 8 downloaded.which one should I use?batterys are off and im waiting,should I try to start truck after the 15 min or try to flash my stock tune back in?

I bought this v2 used with 1 ecm and 2 tcm tags,i noticed there is only lbz tunes on the v2 from the last guy,do I have to load my tune to the v2 then to the truck?it says v2 needs firmwere updated on the actual controller but my lap top has the firmwere updated,how do I update the v2?

Its been awhile but i believe you open v8 and the tool bar at the top will have a button that says check for updates

don't buy an ecm, yours is probably fine. Many people have "bricked" ecm's and recovered them with no problem.

any wat to reset the softwere and v2 without loosing my stock file?i know I touched something I shouldn't have.my pid list doesn't have lb7 in the list.

Should I have it towed to dealer for a reflash and will a reflash fix it?

If you can find your stock file try doing a full reflash with it first.

I tried doing that but all I get is 0101 no communication and when I go to the bbx there is no pids for E54 lb7 only a ext in both spots where it should be,i think I eraced that one then programmed the v2 with that,Playing with it and not knowing what I was doing.How do I get the lb7 E54 back on the pid list?i used the v8.
