Done over 30+hrs 100s of times. U have to remember, its not striaght driving. U are out do walkways, loading and unloading machines, loading the salters ect. And i dont need sleep like most people. I work 10-15hrs a day for 4-5months straight so an occasional 30+ isnt to bad. After i got back i still played with my 2kids, ate dinner. I know many people in the snow removal business that work 25-30hrs straight. U work when work is there, u cant stop and rest.

ok well that makes more sense, now I can understand. :)

Stopping often to do other chores makes it much more tolerable.

You said 36 hours of "straight plowing". I read that as "literally never stopping", which is what I questioned.

I didnt expect to stay out all day today too.... I work for my DPW as a Sub-Contractor for plowing, because it's easier to appropriate funds for than hiring actual temp snow removal for just a seasonal thing....I went from my regular job to plowing, figuring 14 inches max....when I was hitting my routes the 3rd time in 2 hrs last night at 1am I realized we were F-ed. ended up with 26 inches here. no power outages. it was light and fluffy. but the ole' 2011 f-350 with a 8ft blade on it wasn't having much fun of it.....I limped the trans twice, lol

stats are for the general public.

When you learn to farm, you learn long hours. We chopped for 35hrs straight one night to get done in time. Yes the job has to get done.

Avoiding caffiene, getting excercise, fresh air, some good tunes and a 10 minute break here or there makes it easy.

I tend to work better on less sleep. Had many 48hr days. i don't so much driving on thos days though. Once i hit the seat, i get sleepy. keep moving and its not an issue.

Remember, turn the heater off.

:spit: I got a good laugh at these couple lines. I know what you mean, as a lineman, I've worked some 24 and 32 hour shifts.

Keep this shit up and you will wind up with a dirt nap my friend.

Yep he already crashed (ok it was a minor minor fender bender in stop and go traffic) my truck this way; driving too tired, even after I asked him multiple times if he wanted me to drive because I saw how tired he was. :p: :D

IIRC that was after about "only" 18 hours of driving.

38" in my town....You know it's crazy when the town 10 wheelers are stuck and the payloaders are all broken. FD has to use a quad with tracks to get to people needing help. OnSpot chains on trucks are useless..On my lots, I've gotten stuck more times than I can count..And now it's raining.....I quit....

Dude you are an obama voter according to your username. The only reason you are trolling this thread is because you are looking for a hand out. Typical obama voter. You probaly drive some POS ford 6.0 an spent half your savings to fix that heap and still only make under what a stock duramax made in 2001 (300hp for you ford boys). What your paypal address obama1? Ill make sure you get your free money as you clearly pointed out the flaw(one of many) in my buddies truck. I'll make sure obama mails you a cell phone too.
His tow mirror is broken.
