I blame the edge box that was on it. Spray pattern is whole way across piston lol. He took the edge off and threw it in the trash

Now I have to pick up my new wheels and tires and wait for everything to be installed! Truck goes into the shop next Monday, 22nd......my heart just skipped a beat, she's been down for 2 months, maybe more?

Well did not have to work over the weekend so I finished building my custom hitch to come out behind the plate on the stock bumper and painted up the frame. Now I just need to do the fuel sender and the carrier bering which with work how it is will take me another 4 weeks.:D

Ordered a bunch of interior parts for the ones that are Fallon apart in my truck and paint my gauge piller. Buddy had Home Depot color match the tan interior with house paint. Color is spot on and holds up damn well, I was quite surprised!

Began the struggle to remove the turbo due to stuck vanes. That down pipe needs to kiss my arse! It'll be out tomorrow. Picked up an EGR block off plate to pop in while I'm at it.

Had it towed(yes again) to a shop FINALLY:happy2:

To begin the installation of all the parts I have been gathering over the last 6 months or so....

Lift kit, leaf springs, driveline for 4x4, 4.11 Yukon ring and pinion's, detroit truetrac, energy suspension master poly bushing kit, ssbc brakes, and new wheels and tires...in all just about 10G in parts

I wanted to puke, seeing it all start to come together with the truck on the tow truck, following behind with all the parts and then dropping everything off actually made me physically sick/dizzy, gave me panic attacks too:eek:

There's no going back now:joker:

I'll have some pics up next week, just wanted to share my anxiety and excitement for now, it gonna be hard for me to sleep for the next week:eek:

Wiggle it, it has to come straight back, it is literally a perfect fit, so any force to pry sideways or up or down is actually counter productive, in my experience anyways. You'll get it, the first time is always the worst:thumb:

It's off the turbo, that was the easy part. I am pulling the dipstick tube in the morning so I can get this stupid thing out. Pipe is the least of my worries though. I just hope the turbo is salvageable.

Cleaned the vanes up last night. That only took about 45 minutes or so with a lot of screwing off time in there.

Had to deal with a couple broken bolts before I could start reinstalling everything. One was in the passenger exhaust manifold. Luckily it was in a spot just right to be able to apply copious amounts if heat in order to get that stubborn SOB out.

So turbo is back in and bolted down. Spent a long time fussing with getting it lined up to bolt it down and the coolant lines don't want to cooperate either. It should be running tomorrow unless something else comes up.
