Might have been more liek 40 hours - guess im slow. Every exhaust bolt to the turbo was stuck. Also broke 2 glow plugs off that were rusted. Drilling them out carefullt took a couple hous each. ANother hour to get the broken head bolt out. No beer - I quit drinkin. Maybe that was my problem...

Don't worry. Takes me 10 hrs to fit a trans. Maybe cause its a retro fit
Tight for room!!

Retuned the trans for different shift pattern. Like what I did.

Swapped the seats out of my SS as im selling it as a roller, the console was already swapped into the truck awhile back. I hope to swap in a steering wheels with controls soon if I can get all the parts for a decent price.

Made some room for some new stuff to got into the LMM. LB7 up-pipe, LML manifold, Pro-Fab down pipe, PCV re-route, Bills intake, still dont know whose EGR delete to run though.

Battery cracked open and acid got all over the battery cables, I dont know if its salvagable or not yet, the end is pretty shot, anyone know if you can get an identacle battery end?

I removed all my mods and put my truck back completely stock. I've had fun with it but I will be trading it in on a gasser soon. I don't tow anything and i'm tired of paying for diesel.

Looks like we had the same day! And your best bet is dealer or junkyard, unless you can whip something together yourself with some 2-0 wire and lugs

Attempted to pull the turbo apart to clean my stuck vanes. Got the top end apart and couldn't get the turbo to come apart.

Still cold up here in AK.

Cold + wet + started getting dark + working in driveway = give up for now and put it all back together + vanes still stuck.

Test drove it to work after a complete rear diff rebuild with a new pinion/gear set and a Trutrac. It seems good! :woott:

Ever since I purchased my 05 I have noticed a hellacious noise whenever it cranks. Today it free spun three times when I was headed to lunch. Took the starter off and discovered this... :mad:

After spinning the motor and inspecting the ring gear I'm also missing three more teeth (and they are consecutive). So I'm keeping an inch and 7/16 wrench with me just in case :roflmao:

Ive done 3 rong gears now IiRC, none on our trucks. Most have had aftermarket starters though.

You can turn the motor by the alternator nut. 24mm, much easier.
