You can turn the motor by the alternator nut. 24mm, much easier.

Put the lml manifold on lb7 up-pipe & pro-fab downpipe on, MA pcv re-route, tore the bumpers & mirrors off to send them out for paint, mirrors & lower valance are going to get color matched and the chrome bumper sent off for black paint or powder coat. The downpipe mounting tab didnt line up will it be fine or should I cut the tab off the downpipe & weld up a new one?

I looked under mine to find oil and antifreeze leak from both head gaskets. Debating on pulling the motor to do the heads now. Junk LBZ motors

Put a Kennedy Single Deluxe lift pump on. Not a bad job once you get those fuel lines disconnected and that oil filter head plug broke loose.

Polished the valve cover on the Jetta today. Couldve used a little more sanding before the buffing but my fingers were getting tired and ready to move to power tools.

Wet sanded then used blue air way and emery compound, yellow air way and tripoli, purple air way and green chrome, white airway and white chrome, finished with soft cotton and a platinum moss bar.

My big order of detailing stuff was just placed. I do not have any sealers here right now. I have not found a good answer on what to use on Aluminum. I will be using Menzerna Power Lock on paint though.


I spent a lot of time sanding the little nubs off around the edges. Id say total it was 4hrs at least half of that was sanding though. The polishing goes pretty quick with the air way wheels.

Looks like a pretty good pile of buffing wheels.

Thats only half of them. I have quite a few others and a few other compounds as well. Going to upgrade to 10" wheels when I find the ones I like most to help speed things up. These are 8".

Haha wouldn't that suck! No this is a friends. He bought from a guy who had it at the dealer. 04 crew cab dually since January it had had new heads, injectors, cp3, head studs... He finally thru in the towel and sold once this happened. Should make a nice w/t

I blame the edge box that was on it. Spray pattern is whole way across piston lol. He took the edge off and threw it in the trash
