Got it back from having it debadged, paint corrected, buffed, detailed, and ceramic waxed. Not too shabby for a 13 year old truck. Poor hood needs some help tho. Ignore the cheap fogged up headlights.

Looks clean
Why not ceramic coated though?
Paint is in no where near good enough condition to spend that much more on it. It looks good from the pics but lots of imperfections and especially the hood has a lot of clear cracking.
Sold the ol’ girl after 13 years and 282k miles. A diesel shop owner bought it and is taking it to another level which makes me very happy!

On 9/7/19 I was driving north on the interstate when I noticed quite suddenly around a bend on the road, a car with its headlights on facing me (oncoming traffic). I got quite nervous as one can expect and noticed that the car was stopped and part way on the carpool lane on which I was driving, and part way on the shoulder. I turned to the right and started fishtailing rather severely as the roads were wet from a previous rainstorm we had. I was inches away from hitting a red SUV in the fast lane next to me while driving at around 60 mph. I somehow managed to somewhat control the situation but slammed into the concrete barrier. My truck is at the collision shop and I am waiting for news with whether the truck will be declared a total loss, or if it will be repairable (which i doubt it will be) Anyways, my question is, how do I go about getting the most money for my truck from my insurance company. The mods done to my truck are in my sig. Thanks! Neither my mother nor I were injured thankfully. Anyone who has any experience in this situation please chime in!
unless you had a separate rider or an appraisal/added clause drawn up to include your aftermarket parts into the truck, you will be getting what the truck blue books for. at that point, buy the truck back (if its cheap enough), pull the aftermarket stuff and part the truck out.
insurance does not automatically cover your aftermarket goodies.

Truck looks good what brand of smoked tail lights are those? I've been looking around for some decent stock looking ones.
With the EPA running around with a hair up its butt and threatening shops...... Bought some stuff that will most likely be targeted...maybe kick my butt in gear in getting the engines I have back together..
Thanks guys. Sorry I’m just now seeing these. The tail lights are the cheapest ones on eBay I could possibly find. The sockets are sketchy but they work haha
I put a Pedal Commander in the new truck. Holy smokes does that make a difference!

Well, today I hit 200,000 miles on my 03. Two things I love about this truck. One the day I bought it and two the day I put the LBZ in it. The LBZ motor has 200,000 miles and I've put 87,000 miles of that on. I plan to keep it two more years, sell it and then buy another Duramax.

I replaced my aux oil cooler lines and transmission cooler lines last night. Towed particularly heavy a while back, and the truck started leaving drops on the driveway. I had put on some generic braided -8 AN lines from Summit Racing when I built the motor. They did fine for years, but after that last tow, they were done for. The hot lines (both oil and trans) had started to melt, and the hose was expanding out through the braiding.
I took the opportunity to switch from -8 to -10 size, so new fittings in the sandwich adapter, trans, and coolers. The sandwich adapter & coolers were all sized for -10 to begin with, so I am not sure why I put -8 line on back in the day. Never caused any restriction that I could tell, but I can't think of a reason not to go -10 now. Had the local Parker shop make me some high-temp hydraulic lines. Not cheap, but man they are nice. Hopefully that will be the end of the leaking for a long time.

Today I ordered a new set of General Grabber AT/X tires for my daily/tow rig (285/75r16 on PYO) as well as one of Evan’s C3 Oiler setups for each truck.
Not the Dmax, but working on the Cruze. Started getting P20e4 and "bad DEF" messages, so have been replacing the three EGT sensors. EGT1 and 2 were easy. But EGT3 decided it didnt want to leave, instead breaking it's retaining nut off so I couldnt get it out. Spent today removing the front pipe and ended up cutting the bung off.
Got another weldable bung coming from Amazon, while also waiting for new gaskets and flange nuts, so the little car will be back on the road next weekend.
As a consolation, I get to drive BBT regularly again.
