Getting ready to pull motor. And off it goes to a machine shop. Bent rods. Possibly cracked pistons.

Heard that. Mine is getting an oil change in a few weeks and only has 1200 miles on the oil but is 18-19 months old and sits a lot.

Finally trying to get the truck out of winter hyberation. Pulled the engine awhile ago to redo the oil pan gasket, found a broken piston oil squirter, put in a new lbz water pump to fix a leaky one, ported the turbo pedestal and manifolds, got Ricks tow flow up pipes, Levis up pipe and manifold blankets, and I am going to replace the main seals. Hopefully it will be running this weekend, as it needs to start hauling trailers next week.

Thanks, I defently don't miss doing it on Jack stands like back in the old days.
Got the motor back in the truck, hopefully tomorrow I will have it mostly back together. I Zaks heater hose mod and need to get fittings on Monday. Does anyone know what size the heater hose is? I am hoping to replace with a single piece of and route it around my the fender to make room for compounds.

Finished my lift. Well sort of. My torsion bar bolts and nuts stripped. So I need to order them and install. Adjust the front end height so it about level with the rear. Even with the bolts out it's very close to level.

Been thinking about selling it again, so I washed it and wanna keep the ole pig now. Changed the oil, cleaned the MAF, and blew the air filter out the other day. Trying to pinpoint why I’m getting 14mpg currently. Next is change the oil filter, clean the air filter, and find a CTS so I can monitor my coolant temp and fuel pressures.

Took most of this week off work and took my time getting the heads off. Motor has just over 250K and I started noticing a little bit of leakage from the upper radiator hose. This led to the discovery of a hard hose in the mornings and bubbles in the expansion tank. New HGs are here and the heads are at the local machine shop. It will also get a new water pump while it is apart. Going back together with studs.
