Haven't used is 4-5 yrs?? How?? Mine gets used daily..... Too many idiots in this town that go full retard when a vehicle with a trailer is around them.

because my shit box sits in a garage more often than not lol. i use to use it all the damn time too but then i had some wiring issues which started melting switches when the pump ran.... then the solenoid got sticky at full pressure.... air leaks i need to fix... so i just left it. its a nice viair 450c pump and 2.5 gal tank so with these nathan train horns at 175psi, they get your attention QUICK.

we will see, just more shit to fix

Replaced my broken drop shackle finally. Rides 100% better. Definitely handles better and not near as jerky coming off that grabby single disc.

Prepped the truck for a road trip to visit my family this weekend. And by prepped, I mean put fuel in it and made sure it still has oil. Then did a boost launch. Yep, we're good to go!

I did discover my onboard air compressor took a dump, so I can't air up my airbags to get off the overload springs. I'm thinking of putting one of the York 210 kits on so I have an engine driven compressor when I get back.

Guess you gotta drive it to use it lol. I wonder if that's my problem......Sometimes the button for the air switch won't work. Let off and hit it again and the horns light up. I have the Viair 480 in mine, hitting them at 200 psi. Think the higher pressure could be causing the air switch to stick??

yup, mine is very noticeable if the truck isnt running and i try to use it with full pressure. doesnt have enough voltage to open. run a heavier gauge wire to the solenoid or put a bigger one on (not sure if they make a bigger one though).

I'm not sure on the solenoid size either. Says it's rated to 200psi. I have 12g running all the way to it, but it's mounted on the horn bracket.....So theres 20+ ft of wire before it ever reaches the battery. I have mine setup so it only works when the key is in the on position....I never use it without the truck running though.

We have 450I viair pumps, 1 each, on the Crossman Trailers for self contained air ride system.
Wires are a this 10ga if not 8gauge wire. Which can take a yellow 10/12 connectors..
Battery is 6-7' of wire away
The 450s we got are rated at 100psi@20A with 120/85 psi switch will pull almost 30A at 120psi

I have a viair 200psi pump too. But I have no problems with the solenoids not wanting to open up.

I am adding one these though

http://www.air-zenith.com

They move some air compared to viair

I'm talking the solenoid/air switch. The compressor is pulled with 6g from the battery through a 40a relay.

put the body mounts in last saturday, caused the fan to rub on the shroud. pulled the old worn out passenger side motor mount that had sunk about 1/2 (had 213k on it and 16 years on it lol) and put the new one in. Then shimmed the driverside up a 1/4". have more clearances now that it wont rub but it seems the heat and years have caused the lower shroud to cave up toward the fan as well.
