Had a airdog. Burn up on me.
Fass pump only is $450.00 whole thing is ~600.00 range.

I'm still less than $400.00 into my fuel supply..as One failed I warranty then applied towards better pump..
With exception of the air dog raptor pretty much ate that $250.00

plus I have substantially longer service interval than a similar fass setup.. and easier to bypass if failed while still maintaining filtration

$400 in your set up isn't bad, but how much down time and wrench time have you had? I've got a customer Lmm with over 100k on his fass 150 in the last couple years and countless others with no issues.

Not knocking just wondering

Only had 3-4 this year.. was run a Jegs pump with the pump horizontal vs vertical.. they'd ground out about 80k
2 24770 wix filter bases, 1.5" 0-30psi water filled gauge -8 braided line from tank to quick connects on engine plus -6 line from last filter to cp3.
3 of the 4 are last couple months

Im learning on the fly how to make new frame crossmembers and fit them properly.
Im finding I have neat ideas, but I am not a gifted fabricator. And welding? :hehe: :hehe:

The only difference between a good welder and bad welder is a grinder. Make it ugly, make it hold, the grind up nice and paint it. Looks good from my house lol

A man told me once "just because you have a welder doesn't mean you can weld". I guess the same could apply for any tool/machinery.

I dont agree with him very often, but this time Slim is spot-on. Its bad.....really bad. :roflmao:
But its not stopping me. I know people who can help. ;) As long as I can tack it, they finish it for me. Just involves driving out to where I deliver.

Tom, there are only 2 of us out here in the shop where I work. I do 99% of our welding, the other guy when he "tries" to weld I can tell by the sound it's not right. I can always tell when he tries to weld after I leave because there is a practice piece laying somewhere near the welding area he tried to weld on, lol. Welding can be ugly and work though. The only way to get better at it is practice. I started when I was 10 years old with a stick welder and that was 30+ years ago. Put me in your package truck and expect me to get your job done as good as you do and it ain't happening.

You can teach an old dog new tricks. he just needs a little guidance. Decent welder and setup, auto darkening helmet and some general knowledge of controlling the puddle can make just about anyone lay down a decent weld that wont be structurally unsound. Unless you have Parkinson, then your f**ked

Tell that to those of us who can actually weld. But I'm getting a hint you're joking :D

The difference between good and bad is being able to go back and actually FIX your fubar

Yes purely a joke...I can't weld and I'll admit that openly. If I need stuff welded pretty I have friends that do it for a living so I let them. Beer is a universal payment

The difference between a good and bad weld is its strength. But imo the difference between a good and bad welder is a good welder doesn't need a grinder. If you have to grind it down to make it look good you've made it weaker, just let a good welder do it from the start.

4500 cut a way with sleeper. Has 60 gallon rear mount tank underneath. 8 leaves on the rear spring pack. One more than C&C but no top overload. 225s 16" wheels.

You've got a neighbor up the road that has a van-cutaway Dmax kind of like that, Chevor.

Hmm...I've had to grind down every weld I've ever attempted, so there ya go. :roflmao:

Thought about something like that... Transmission wouldn't like much over 26k gross

Met with wyopoke last night. Had a few beers, discussed trucks. Extremely nice older gentlemen. Said he really enjoy getting to talk with Mike when he had his tranmission done. Sounds like he is going to have one hell of an lb7 when he is done.
