New turbo for the '12 season arrived, but still haven't touched the truck or engine....

And my next project that I picked up last weekend, it is a '65 Malibu roller with no engine or tranny, has a FAB9 housing, Strange axles and spool, back halfed and mini-tubbed, Chassis works 4 link, full and origional interior with a Chromoly cage...

Figured out a few things on mine reently. One, you'll never do any good with 30 psi of boost and about 3500 rpm in 3rd in the current 2.6 class. New turbine housing on order. Also thanks to Tim at sjd for finding the problem in my tune. One table has kept us from spooling for two seasons and now we have no problem lighting a gt45.:thumb: A few little secrets from 05lly didn't hurt either.

Also huge thanks to Brayden and the rest of Fleece Performance for help on the dyno. Power wasn't there but we solved several problems and are moving in the right direction. A2W setup seems to be working well. So far so good on the welded cups. Once they see real boost we will see how they hold. And unlike others on here, I will let everyone know the truth about them if it happens. Plus the for sale thread might give it away. :spit:

Another plus, the 09 lmm at the dyno that day leaked more fluid than us. Small victories.

We hardly make 30 psi with a 3.0 truck, and we do alright sometimes...

The truck just laid flat and would not come alive. I was more concerned with the rpm more than the boost. Housing is in. We will find out soon enough.

Yeah, I was just f**kin with you! We ran 58-62 depending on track conditions and gear selection, but Kusilek claims close to or over 100 psi... But then again we don't carry his wheel speed. Although the best I think ours ever ran was with a GT55 91mm clipped to 3.0 Protrusion at only 48-50 psi... Only made it a couple passes though!

Good Luck, TIM will help you get set straight.

What housing were you running? I ran a gtx4508 1.28a/r last season and it spooled very easy. Charger would light violently and carry 42-4500 down the track. Mind you I was running the native 80mm wheel.

Kusileks motor ran mid to high 70's with his 3" charger.

First Successful Hook of the season...

Well Rob finally got to make a full pass with the truck. NADM people threw all the truck classes into one.... 2.6, 2.8, and 3.0. Same weight, hitch height. etc....

Took 2nd place behind the 3.0 truck White lightning by 6 feet...
