might sound like a dummy but whats with the wheels? they look like plain ol dodge dually wheels or did i miss something?
I am pretty confident it will spool good. the gtx45 last season was effortless to light on the line with my current tq.
Its quite the jump... then again you dont have to mess with clipped down wheels.
Ys that's what I was banking on. Did you get your axle fixed from the indoor pull! truck sounded wicked as usual!
No, it broke the whole spindle off too, so now im starting from scratch, and gusseting the $hit out of it. The whole tube is bent pretty bad, i noticed it getting worse last year, and towards the end of the year the shafts would rub the housing. I think thats why my breakage problems starting getting worse cause everything was binding. I would love to have proformance's aam hybrid, but i can see spending 8k when you can have most if not all of your open driveline for that money. So im gonna start with a straight housing, and put a set of burkarts or nikkels axles in, and see how they hold this year. Over the summer ill probably start building my next housing... an aam with f106 axles.
Were you using a SRW axle? In 2009 bent the SRW axle housing then in 2010 i switched to a DRW housing. If intrested i have Dodge 11.5 housing. It has larger tubes to the spindles.
If you look at the center of the bearings is about center of your inner wheel so the outer wheel is raw leverage on you spindles causing them to bend. Using the DRW axle you will find the center of the duals to be closer to the center of the hub bearings. less leverage on the spindle. With DRW i had zero issues with bending the tubes or spindles. One other problem i found with bent tube is when guys would have there suspension stops too far from the spindles and the downward pull would give permanent camber .Yes i was, did the drw hold better?

One other thing with the rims i build is that i get the tire in as far as i could, nipples rubbing the springs and have little to no space between the tires as long as they have some sort of side lugs.
When i build them i always build them with the tire the puller is going to use, that would make them custom no just off the shelf.
Hope you all could understand my jumbal.....
Me personally would than move the springs to be able to move the tires in three more inches, try to center the tires over the bearings. Not sure what rules your trying to fit though.Makes perfect since, I almost started with a drw axle last time, i already have this srw axle gusseted and ready to go, hopefully it holds up with the truss we built.
