what the heck is the big block with the the four studs/blots sticking through at the front of the trans tunnel? Did all of those harness's reach as were or did they require splicing wire in to extend them?

Thats a grounding or power block, its been moved now tho, those must be older pics Tim.:D A lot of them had to be lengthened.

Awesome work Rob. :thumb: We started to do something similar but doubt we ever take it that far.

I just dropped off the old log headers I had originally built for the orange truck to my fabricator last night to resurrect for this season. I had a lot of $ in those and rather than build a new set we are going to change the log on them to a smaller design that i know will spool. Gotta be able to light that new spinny thing.

The only one that I didn't lengthen or shorten, was the Underhood Fuse Block to ECM and TCM. Pulled those into the cab and to the Center Consol. I think that we stared at it for 3 days after pulling the wires into the cab and just shook our heads...LOL Did a systems check yesterday will all things plugged in and everything is reading and working properly. Now to just get everything else done...

This is where the Power and Ground are at Now. We used 2 Nice junction blocks for all of that.

Looks familar....;) Nice work guy's, you will love how easy it is to work on things under the hood now.

Allseason Diesel Per.
Im keeping my two large plugs under the hood next to the firewall so when i lift the cab its just a couple plugs. Im also running all my gauge wires through the two big plugs also. Im cutting the front core support and mounting the Rad and IC to the frame so lifting the cab with the front clip is no hassle.

Unfortunately lifting the cab on the Rob's Truck is no longer an option...:spit:

The cage is nice, but sometimes limiting... I am not quite finished inside. I still have to make some nice plates, finish the center Console and the few switches.

It was pretty easy last year to work on, but we wanted to simplify some things for tuning, and add some other go fast things under the hood area.

Why retain all of the stock harness and fuses? You need a third of that. Looks like you could shave another 200 lbs.

Thought about that, but most 2.6 classes want you to have all the interior stuff working. Next year a lot less wiring. :thumb:

When the rest of the center console is in and the seats are back in place, you won't be able to see any of the wiring. Therefore still a stock appearing interior. Wish that we didn't have to have all of that, but rules are rules.
