Folks, Kat didn't post this except for one reason:
Tell your wives, mothers, girls, etc, to get their exams. Tell them today.
Even with great improvements in treatment, early detection is still critical. Survival rates are near 100% when caught early, and fall to 20% when caught late.
Cancer remains the leading cause of death for women 35 to 65, and it's treatable if caught in time.

For men, it's accidents until 45, then heart attack/cancer.
Probably most <45 are power tool accidents since we don't read instructions. Even a pencil sharpener can be lethal if you don't read the 30 pages of poorly translated Chinese warnings. Especially for Dodge guys...

Sorry to hear this Kat. My wife is going thru the same thing right now. Found something, they think its a fibrocystic mass and told her not to worry (yea right). She is still trying to cope with that and decide if she should let them investigate. If you need someone to talk with I can give you her number, she is actually at home sick from something they can't find either. Possibly another mass, 15m in size, in the left vaginal cuff. Her Ovaries were removed in 05 and one has grown back twice as a cyst producing hormones. I feel for women because it seems along with child birth you have to suffer unimaginable things we as men can never go thru. God and prayers be with you. Will keep you in our prayers.
its not fun to have to even think about all these different kind of health issues . My wife and I have had to experience this 2 times with her bad pap tests and then surgical tests .

Lost my wife to breast cancer 5 years ago. NOTHING TO MESS WITH!!! Make sure you get at least 2 opinions on the biopsy and have the damn thing taken out if there is even 1% chance it might be pre-malignant. Good luck Kat.

Kat, you have our prayers. Breast cancer runs in my wife's family, so she is acutely aware of what you're going through right now.
Whats happening with you and Mike really brings home just how insignificant all this diesel stuff really is in the grand scheme of things. We all need to be proactive when it comes to our health.

Im glad you got it checked out! My mom was stubborn about it and waited a lil to long.....She is good now but it was tough for everyone

Best of luck on the results. Fortunately the majority of the cysts/tumors end up being nothing to worry about. My mom had a similar scare a few years back & it ended up being OK. I would seek a few different opinions & have anything removed if even the least bit questionable.
The whole cancer thing is scary at best as I lost my Dad to lung cancer about 5yrs ago at age 56. Not to mention my Dads Mom as well about 10yrs earlier. Glad I only got his car habits & not the smoking habits. Hoping there is no hereditary thing here as I could be next.
My wifes Dad now has lung cancer... Scary stuff to say the least.
It sometimes puts life in perspective & helps you remember what is important.

Thanks for sharing Kat. I lost my Grandfather a few years ago to cancer. I keep hassling my Dad to get "The Checkup", but I am unable to convince him. Thanks for reminding me to remember my mom too. Best wishes, I'm sure everything will be ok. :hug:
Prostate exam isnt so bad....as long as you have a doctor with small fingers. :rofl:
