But here goes anyway.

A lump was found in my breast when I went in for my NHRA physical Oct 7. A mammogram, ultrasound and finally a breast biopsy today which the radiologist told me that he is 98.9% sure it is nothing, still have to wait until the official results, but I will take that percentage and not worry about it :D

Still have to see the surgeon next week, to see if they need to remove it, but I can live with that also.

I hadn't had a mammogram in probably 2 1/2 years and I could have really screwed up :(

So the reason for this spew is for you guys to remind your wives, significant others, moms, and sisters to have them done:hug:

Sorry to anyone I have been short with in past month or so.

I'm glad to hear it is likely nothing, Kat. Cancer and regular checkups for those common problems should not be neglected.

Since we're on the subject, if you don't mind, I would like to add that men 40 and over should have prostate checks yearly. My step dad has been doing that for a while, and just this year the blood test they did indicated some elevated levels of whatever they check. They did more testing and found he has prostate cancer. Because he has been getting regularly checked, they caught it before it could spread anywhere, and he will be having surgery Monday to have it removed. They expect him to recover fully without doing a bunch of chemo or radiation. Had he not been so proactive, it could have been much worse.

Good Luck to your step dad

One thing might not be a good idea to have your wife schedule it, might end up with a lady Dr. like Pat had

x2!!!!! Same thing happend to my dad. Because he has a history of cancer in his family, he insisted on getting checked out often, and a couple years ago they found he had it, but luckily it was able to be removed before it spread anywhere.

Hope everything turns out ok Kat, 98%, Ill take those odds any day.

 I wish you well, Kat! Glad they gave such good percentages!

I kinda understand how it feels! I have pretty good family history of lower intestinal problems, one of which is colon cancer. When i was pretty young my uncle passed from it @ 25yrs old and im a spiting image of him except older, and with my back pain worried me about having cancer so i got the enjoyment of a colonoscopy and they removed 2 polyps. Nothing bad found, so that was a relief. That was a sobering experiance! The "cant happen to me" feeling that still remained it the back of my head is forever gone!
