While I don't agree with Mike bringing me and Kat into this, I guess it's out there.
Tommy, you told me you are a licensed contractor. That's not what the State of Ca tells me. My fault for not checking. Yeah, we told you that the work you did for us was inferior workmanship, and that will redo it ourselves, and you can keep the money. We will repaint the walls (already paid $5,000 for paint), redo the stairs, and put linoleum on the floor when we get the money. We said that all we want is the best work, price was no object. You did not provide that. We can still see all the cracks in the floor, and that was the only reason we had you do it.
But as far as you trying to trash Mike's reputation for a buck or two in your pocket? I've known Mike for 5 years now and personally know hundreds of folk who have went to him for trans stuff. You're the first one I know who is claiming he screwed you.
I really don't believe your converter is shot. Why? I've hurt a few (4-5?), and let me tell you that it's not ambiguous. You're at the 1000' marker, and WHAM, the truck shuts down. You are on the dyno, you crank up the load, and WHAM, the truck down. Or you are cruising down the freeway and the trans temps shoots over 250 deg and WHAM, you're parked.
By the way, how is Nick's reputation for warranty? Are you slamming him for freebies yet?
PS - For those that do not know, something very similiar happened with a PPE turbo on Tommy's truck. Tommy said it was wasted and demanded a new one. He was at my shop for free until the wee hours of the morning, as we tried to figure out what was wrong. I did not sell him the turbo, I did not install it, and he advertises for a competing tuner even. Nor do I work on other people's trucks. I did it because that's the way I am.
The turbo was fine, just like I had told him. It was a mistake in the install.
Tommy slammed me as well. When I was looking for a suitable LMM beta truck to dyno tune, I selected a different truck. He told everyone I "promised" him a free EFILive V2 and dyno tune. Bull.
Fleece Performance and PPE have both contacted me saying Tommy owes them money. Whether that is true or not, I do not know. But I see a pattern.
This is not about converters, flooring, turbos, or tuners. This is about a pattern of behavior that is not acceptable in the Duramax community. We are mostly friends and will bend over backwards to help each other. Tommy seems to be taking advantage of all of us, and when we don't bend far enough he tries to trash us.

pretty much what i expected from you. to defend mike to the end. and lie. twist words facts and every thing else you are so full of it. you have not said one word in regards to the floor. and the steps you did not want changed. there was never one word about any thing else. your coments about lunulioum in few years was to some one else and you know who it was. IT wasent to me but thats you just getting mixed up again. i belive that was at the same time you where trying to purposefully chip the floor wich it did not do. you knew that there would be some higlited cracks but they are filled and not open. you even comented that it was ok with you. I would think if there was a issue you would say something. or have us come back and fix something that you where not happy with. but have not received a phone call email ect from you at any time. I can have the manafacture come out and inspect the floor for you?. or antoher contractor if you think it was not done corectley. How about install a 1054 or ML wich ever you want and if it still locks at 3200 rpm like it is now under wot. I will apologize kiss you on the cheek wash all your sheep and i will pay you full price for the new converter as well . Is that fair ? Seriousley did i do something to ofend you in some way. If i did please let me know.

I dont see why you guys make such a big deal out of a part going bad or getting a bad one thats not part of your club. shit fails parts go bad it happens. why always try to cover it up. < I expect some coment about nick after that . is it really $80 to run? I was hoping to go just for 1 day. Thats alot for a few runs, plus mileage. Anyone heard any different?
