Because whatever scan tool you were using wasnt set up to read ABS codes, yet your autocal was.

Left front and right front wheel sensor. Odd that both would be bad at the same time. Is the ABS indicator illuminated in the cluster?

Oversize tires? Also try and clean/retighten the EBCM (electronic brake controller module as GM calls it - commonly known as the ABS module) ground located on the frame beneath the driver's side door. This is a fairly well known trouble location due to weather/salt exposure.

Have you tried clearing the codes? Do they come right back? ABS codes only get set for wheel sensor troubles the vehicle speed goes over 8 mph.
