Just read this entire thread, nice truck you have! sucks the luck you had though. While I don't agree that a straight pipe should void all warranty but in fact it does increase power beyond stock. If taken too court that will be considered a power adding mod and in fact void the warranty. However, you were tuning it and adding more power.To me that is kissing your warranty good bye . It's a chance we all take when doing so . If you want a warranty keep it stock and if you want to mod it then take it as it comes .
If you would have hid or at least had stock parts on (i.e. no monitor, no exhaust , basically no modification red flags) not saying that's an ethical thing to do in fact quite the opposite. But if your tune was still in the ecm then that alone would be enough for denial of warranty and rightly so.
Time to make it stronger now, with every failure opens an opportunity.
