Can't beat the older Duramax's, who wants a payment on a $60,000+ truck anyway. I'll take my $14,000 LLY over new any day.

Unloaded the rims, tires, Autocal, and exhaust off my 16 last week. Ordered a rail plug, 5"exhaust, airdog 165 II 4k, caltracs and a V2 yesterday, start saving for a Suncoast monday:woott:

I'm kinda excited to see what this lbz will do with just a delete tune and caltracs at the track this summer..won't be adding any power till the transmission is built. Hopefully the tax guy will let me play a little, then I'll be adding air and studs along with a transmission. I'll keep yall posted:hug:

Got the 5" magnaflow on, AD 165 II installed...did a few things with efi tonight, adjusted the fuel tank, and tuned out some unnecessary items:D
Really impressed with the new airdog, sucker is silent! The magnaflow...took a lot of work, dented, bent, downpipe flange was dented in...in the end it looks good but man was it rough looking being "new"

Did you get the aluminized or stainless and with or without muffler?

Perfect. Have you done stainless and aluminized. Trying to decide if I'm going stainless or aluminized on the next one. Being your in the same shit weather as me and they use that lovely liquid death you will have valuable insight for my wallets decision

i had aluminum exhaust on my last truck, it had 285,xxx miles on that setup. Looked great after all those winters, im pretty well sold on it with the shit they put on these roads.

Care to post a pic of the magnaflow? Been wanting to put one on mine but I haven't seen one on a duramax.

Yours was beat about as bad as mine was when it showed up, they act like those exhaust systems are made out of schedule 80 pipe.

I like the 90* exit, looks tight. I hate how mines angled. Looks like a exhausts shoos first job and the pipe bender broke before they finished.

It was definitely beat up, that was about half the damage.
The nice part I found was you could twist the tail section a bit if you want a more rear facing angle, or twist the axle section to turn it more downward facing angle. CCSB and extended cabs you'll have to cut 13" off one of the sections.

Perfect aluminized magnaflow it is. My stainless mbrp sounds good but unless you constantly polish it it's rusty as hell. Not to mention it fits together like shit. Wonder if the ppe downpipe clamp works on an mbrp downpipe and rdl manifolds. Think I need to add one of those to help get everything sturdied up. Thanks man

IIRC you have a Titan fuel tank right? Did you put the Airdog back in the location the other one was at when you bought it?

The truck had one on it when I bought it, but it had a small leak so the dealer remove it and the lift pump off the truck.

I mounted my new pump back behind the cab mount ahead of the driver back tire. Airdog recommends mounting inside the frame but I went outside as I'm not sure when/if I'll add a big tank.

Airdog uses 2 plates that bolt together, so you can clamp the pump in a lot of spots, inside and outside of the frame rail.
