The thing is they have a completely electronical trans. Just wait till they start figuring it out.

Think about how much easier it was to add power with a properly valved truck, verus a 12 valve.... They have a jump start on a pretty damn capable trans IMO

They have alot going for them in a stock truck, just too much fat on it

they had the 6.0 running good on and off the bottle same thing they thought they could tune around the trans and not built them

truthfully who cares? thats like saying a 10.9 pass is the "difference" of a stock turbo, lots of fuel and MUCHO nitrous compared to a big single, lots of fuel not nitrous... If one guy can do it cheaper than the other guy then so be it. They need to pull lots of weight to match us so what?

I bet deep down inside you really care, because your the one arguing :thumb:

Dont see a stock allison go 50k miles at 500rwhp do you? Just sayin..

Never seen a Ford do it either.

In fact, I've yet to see a CC 6 liter or 6.4 liter Ford in stock trim and just a tune-any tune-compete, run a 13.5 or better on fuel only and not break something before the end of the day. At least not around my part of the country. Just sayin..

The real hot tunes for the 6.4 are River City. 525rwhp hot and 585rwhp race but you have to sign a waiver. Innovative is the tuner Henry is talking about. His tune 2 yrs ago at TNT Diesel dyno day did 508rwhp. He tunes fords and drives a dodge. His truck did 850 on fuel and 950 on lil spray.

If I do valve body and pump mods to an Allison and run low 12s can I still claim stock trans?

This is a debate that has been going on since 2004.

Yes, there have been a couple Dmaxes in the 12's on stock LBZ transmissions. But they ended up failing.

Yes, there have been some Fords running stock transmission into the 12's too.

Claims that the Ford transmission is indestructable are 6 years old. So far the fast ones you see at the drags usually aren't stock trans trucks.

The new Ford trans is apparently stronger. But only time will tell. The 2011 Allison will be stronger too.

I would just like to see some of these fords start pullin at some of the pulls. I dont live the far from the Innovative guys and all the 6.0s around here are running his tunes. They cant not run with a Duramax with a Edge box, let alone something with EFI in it. I just want to compete with some good 6.4s, all i have seen out of them is dyno #s. Maybe some will man up this year.
