What can you "feel" that is different? I ordered a set of these and was going to ask Mike but he seemed to be in a rush so I didn't want to waste his time

You never waste my time. Call me and I will explain it to you. I don't explain high technical stuff on the net.

If you are asking me give mike a call. He can explain it the best. He made the springs and more importantly he know how the Allison works!

My trans is getting pulled this week sometime. Will get my new tuning from Danville tomorrow, and have Mike's new springs installed later on! Can't wait to feel the difference.

Hey Mike, is it a huge deal with a built trans if you drive it on smaller tunes and drive easy, and after several days of doing this suddenly turn it up to a big tune and let it eat? I've heard mixed emotions about this as the allison "learns" into the easy driving. Will your springs possibly help safe guard any, if at all, problems that may occur with that situation or is that just myth talk? I've heard guys go as far as say you can limp your trans if you drive easy alot and suddenly put it on a max tune??:eek:

Not a good idea hammering an Allison with the big tune till it learns it.

So I'm guessing driving normal on tune 5 isn't enough for it to truly learn it; gradually giving it more and more throttle and Harder accelerations is what will help it learn it?

What's the best way to drive to help your allison properly learn the bigger tunes?

Driving it in tune 5 will work. I did that with my '04 LB7 running a custom tune by Tony at Ridge Runner Diesel. It was the only tune I had. " KILL "
It lived up to its name.:thumb::roflmao::D

Lol well ill just put it on tune 5 and leave it there for quite a while then. Iirc my builder uses a tech tool and put the trans into a "fast learn"; mike should we start over with the relearn after we install your springs and converter valve?

Absolutely not. We are not changing anything except recalibrating when the pressure comes in and how fast it exhausts on the hand off to the next gear.
