What can you "feel" that is different? I ordered a set of these and was going to ask Mike but he seemed to be in a rush so I didn't want to waste his time
If you are asking me give mike a call. He can explain it the best. He made the springs and more importantly he know how the Allison works! What can you "feel" that is different? I ordered a set of these and was going to ask Mike but he seemed to be in a rush so I didn't want to waste his time
Give him a callMike.....I want some of these trim and shift valve springs...what do I need to do
I will leave this here. This is my best explanation of how it "feels".What can you "feel" that is different? I ordered a set of these and was going to ask Mike but he seemed to be in a rush so I didn't want to waste his time
I might have missed it, but these can be installed without dropping the valve body correct?
Not a good idea hammering an Allison with the big tune till it learns it.
Driving it in tune 5 will work. I did that with my '04 LB7 running a custom tune by Tony at Ridge Runner Diesel. It was the only tune I had. " KILL "So I'm guessing driving normal on tune 5 isn't enough for it to truly learn it; gradually giving it more and more throttle and Harder accelerations is what will help it learn it?
What's the best way to drive to help your allison properly learn the bigger tunes?
Lol well ill just put it on tune 5 and leave it there for quite a while then. Iirc my builder uses a tech tool and put the trans into a "fast learn"; mike should we start over with the relearn after we install your springs and converter valve?
absolutely not. We are not changing anything except recalibrating when the pressure comes in and how fast it exhausts on the hand off to the next gear.
