hey all, im sort of new to the duramax side of life, though i dont have one (yet) hopefully in the next month or so i should have one. as im currently looking at an 07 classic CC/SB 4x4

ive been doing what i can to learn efi live, and thats mainly why i joined here.

im open to any tips and tricks for the LBZ tuning.

ive decided on going the dsp route with the following tunes

1.Optimized Stock
2.good MPG
3.Towing (with turbine brake)
4.Smoke (just for show)
5.Stock trans safe race tune (maybe around 90hp)

and with the above id like to make the turbo quiet at idle(lb7 idle effect?) to around 1000rpm, then have it kick in, and start to make boost with a slight whistle, also with the tow tune, id like to make it so it make high boost at low rpms for towing.

also ill be towing our 26' camper that weighs roughly 7k-8k# fully loaded with water supply, and gear.

Any suggestions on how to make those?

as always, i plan on EGR block and turned off via efi, pcv reroute, airdog2, with boost, egt, and fuel pressure gauges.

and of course im still open to suggestions.

Welcome:welcome9:

Find a good tuner on here or in your area and learn the do's and donts and they will tell you what they can and cant do.They will also point you to good parts and upgrades. If you need any parts Henry from Creatures of the nite performance really knows his sh$t and he has great prices imo.

sweet thanks guys, im planin on goin with nick at duramaxtuner. and ive tryed the search feature as i was browsing as a guest for about a week, on here, as well as dp, and i cant seem to find exactly what im lookin for. but thanks for the advice.

do you have a link for creatures of the night?

Welcome to the show. Nick can build you some good tune's, I can also tell you that alot of what your looking to do, you can do yourself with EfiLive if you get a starter tune from Nick. He has a lot of tutorials on tune building if you join his site. He is also very helpful, he helped me out in my early tuning days.
I didn't see anything too agressive with what your looking for. I think your headed in a good direction

thanks guys, i was planning on doing that, and building off of the tunes from nick, and maybe changing them a bit once i run them for a while, and i watched all of the tutorials on his site, and ive certainly got a better understanding of efi. andive been playing with it a bit, but in order to get a full understanding, ill have to actually see what each change does in the truck physically.
